Sexy tails on this corset

At a whopping $100.00 USD, this isn't something most people are jumping with excitement at the prospect of getting and I don't see why they should. Don't get me wrong, this is a wonderful flogger and it DOES perform, but it's not as stingy as one would expect and that's a big deal breaker.

I would only recommend this particular one to kinksters who are more experiences in the field of flogging due to how long it is. You're going to have trouble maneuvering it if you haven't had much practice with longer flogging toys and you could perhaps hurt someone or break something if you're not careful. That being said, I won't go as far as saying that this shouldn't be used for heavy play because it definitely CAN be used for quite heavy play, it just won't be as stingy as some cheap $15.00 floggers.

Unlike other floggers I've purchased, I had no problem with the tails on this one sticking to each other upon unpacking it. Other floggers' tails sometimes stick together and the leather is hard. This one had no problems of that sort. The colors on the leather aren't cheaply painted onto the leather like the leather from other brands. As always, Ruff Doggie Styles delivers quality items. The flogger in itself is quite long so it's something that should be noted if you're not looking for anything too large. Just by looking at it without measuring it, I'd say it's over 3 feet long, at least 2 feet of which are the actual leather tails.


The handle of the flogger is easily 1 foot long and made of sturdy wood that you can hear when you knock it against anything hard. The wood is visible wrapped with a piece of red leather which I imagine is also glued to the wood so it doesn't come out on accident. On top of the red layer, there is a thick black layer of leather with bright red stitching and 15 eyelets on each side for the "corset style lacing" The corset lacing part which is basically just a small string is black and reminds me of the texture used in those really bright stringy shoelaces that never stayed tied as kids. I've had a hard time getting the lacing to stay tied so I'm guessing threading your own ribbon or whatever you want to use for lacing might work better than the actual lacing that it comes with. I haven't gotten around to that because I haven't had time. But of course if you don't mind the string coming untied, then there's no problem. There are also some eyelets on the top part of the handle which I imagine are entirely there for show because nothing goes through them.


The top of the handle also has a thick strap meant for using as a safety strap so the flogger doesn't fly out of your hand and hurt someone or break something. The strap consists of a double sided black colored thick strip of leather with bright red stitching. Doubled over, the strap is at least 10 inches making it about 5 inches long. Of course the strap also doubles as a strap to hang it from if you have a designated area to hang it from.


This flogger has 12 tails which are red and black. The tails consist of 2 long strips of black leather interlaced with 2 strips of red leather to form a sort of braid. The leather is not cracked like in a lot of whips which is no doubt a good thing. You can tell there's a lot of skilled craftsmanship just by observing how detailed the tails are. Also, let me note that although these tails look like they are stingy, they are far from it. The fact that they are so soft and virtually shapeless make them be thuddy and even somewhat soft upon impact.


The bottom of each of the braid is tied off tightly with black string making the end of the braid turn into 4 strips of leather. Two red and Two black ones. So in essence, it's 12 long braids and each braid has another 4 two inch little strips of leather protruding from it at the bottom.

This flogger can perform quite well. It had no problem leaving my submissive's behind bright red that night and slightly bruised the next day. However, you need to remember the length of the flogger and take into consideration where you will be using it. I would not suggest using this in a confined space because it can hurt you, your partner of break something in the room. The force that this flogger hits with is mostly blunt and thuddy. If you're a fan of thuddy floggers then this is a spectacular choice. It DOES sting but not enough to pack a mean bite in my opinion which is something important to me when I choose my floggers.

Like most floggers, they do not often get dirty or stained due to the nature of their uses. However, if you do happen to get this stained or dirty, I always use alcohol free wipes to wipe up the spot or stain and that seems to work like a charm. I personally never use any actual cleaning products on my floggers because I'm scared of it affecting the quality of the leather and I don't recommend anyone else do it either. If you must, I would suggest some baby soap and warm water to make sure it's as gentle as possible. The flogger although fairly long can easily be folded in half and put in the bottom of your underwear drawer, your closet, a suitcase or even hung up because it has a strap which can be used.

I actually don't remember the packaging on this one but most Ruff Doggie Styles floggers come with minimal packacking either in a clear crinkly plastic bag that's tied off with a rubber band or with nothing else than a tag with the manufacturer's name on it.

The reason I give this flogger 4 starts instead of 5 is because in my opinion at 100 dollars, this flogger should have been versatile enough to be stingy AND thuddy but it was only thuddy and not as stingy as a lot of other floggers I own.
