This flogger is made from suede. Suede is a porous material and therefore this flogger should be considered fluid-bound when used on anyone. Beneath the suede of the handle, there seems to be a wooden dowel rod which the suede is wrapped around for a sturdier grip. Holding up from rough play so far, the craftsmanship of the flogger is superbly done, and seems as though it will hold up for many years to come. The suede is soft, but the falls are thick enough that they don't feel weak, while the handle is wrapped nicely in a red and black suede, and secured with two leather strips that have metal studs holding them in place. One side has two of these studs while the other has one, and it has a very attractive look about it. The red on the contrast of black is beautiful to look at.

The flogger has 30 falls in all, and the falls measure 9-3/4 inches long. The handle of the flogger measures 6-1/4 inches in length and 2-3/4 inches in circumference. The downside to this flogger is that it doesn't have a wrist strap, so the user will have to keep a good grip on the flogger when in use.

Due to the way this flogger is crafted so lightweight, it does not tire the arm easily when held in the hand and in use. It delivers thuddy blows to the skin, but these are in no way painful other than a small stinging sensation, which is nothing too bad and shouldn't be a problem for beginners or those who enjoy a light play. The softness of the suede provides a wonderful sensation when run over the bare skin, making it perfect for teasing your partner during foreplay or intercourse. If the user were to strike their partner roughly with this flogger, it may leave marks, but these are not guaranteed with such a soft and light flogger. To care for your new flogger may or may not be an easy task. The first thing you should invest in is a suede cleaning kit, which consists of a brush that will brush the grain of the suede in order to remove dirt and debris while another side of the brush will restore that wonderful feel of the suede. It will also have a suede eraser, which will help in taking stains off of your suede in case something happens to the flogger. Another method of cleaning is plain vinegar. Using a vinegar dampened cloth, softly massage it into the suede where the stains are and allow them to air dry. Follow this method of cleaning up with the suede brush to restore the nap.

Should you get wax on your flogger from any kind of wax play you may engage in, you can place the flogger in the freezer long enough for the wax to harden so that you can chip it away easily from the surface. Any cleaning method you choose should be followed up with the suede brush in order to return the nap to its original state. Use baking soda to get rid of any smells on your flogger by shaking baking soda onto the surface inside of a Ziploc bag. Allow this to sit overnight and then brush your flogger with your suede brush to remove the baking soda and to return it to the original state again. Any smell that was on the flogger should be gone, if not, repeat the process.

Never soak your suede thoroughly with water. If you need to, invest in a spray bottle to cover your flogger in a light mist and let it air dry. Never try to spot clean suede as this can discolor the suede and make it look spotty. Any excess water created using the spray bottle simply sponge it off with a towel or cloth and allow the toy to air dry. The suede should never be left out in direct sunlight or near other sources of heat as this could cause the suede to fade, crack or wrap.

You should never use chemicals of any kind on your suede as this will ruin the material as well. Hand soaps and dish soaps will degrade the material. Always store your toy flat and outstretched as this keeps the tails straight and untangled. The material will take the shape of whatever position it lies in, so keep this in mind. Store the flogger in a cool, dry place such as a closet for the best life of the toy. The best method for keeping the falls straight is to hang them from the small loop at the end. Shower curtain hooks are a great way to hang your floggers in your closet or wardrobe.

If you decide to travel with this flogger, do not put the flogger inside of a Ziploc bag for transport, as this will cause suede to sweat and form mold on the surface. If you want to hide it, put it inside of a cotton bag or cotton pillowcase for safekeeping, as this material will allow the flogger to breathe.

Packaging for the flogger was minimal, as it came in a clear cellophane bag with a silica gel pack to keep moisture from ruining the toy. There weren't any instructions on care or use, but with this sort of toy things are pretty straightforward, and the cleaning can easily be found on the internet if this review isn't helpful enough for the user. Shipping was as always, very discreet. The contents were shipped in a plain, cardboard box and only had the shipping addresses on the postal sticker. There were no indications as to what might be inside of the package.



Once opened, the receipt was lying on top, but there's always one in the box somewhere. Along with the receipt, the toy was packaged in between air pillows to keep it from bumping around during transit. The shipping box, air pillows, and cellophane bag can all be recycled if you like. Overall, you'll never have to worry about Eden packaging something with the contents on full blast all over your mailer or box.
