My wife and I added spanking to our play time a few years ago. We started with me just using my hand, but we realized pretty quickly that there are a lot of different implements and how different they all feel. Before we got this one, we only had wooden paddles, and the only leather implements we used was a belt, so this leather addition was a great add to our collection. This paddle can be used by both beginners giving only a lite playful spank to a spanking punishment. On a scale from 1-10, 1 being the hand and a ten being a cane, we would give this a 4. You could use this paddle on top of jeans for a warm-up or bare bottom for that nice smack. Before you use this paddle, make sure there is open communication between the one giving and the one receiving the paddle. Consent and limits should be set beforehand, and a safe word could be used, so things don't go too far.

The design and feel are awesome or at least it is to the one giving the spanking not so much for the one receiving ;-). Its shape and feel are very similar to a wooden paddle just not as punishing as a wooden paddle can be. I am not sure if it's real leather or not, but in my opinion, if it's real or not, it still gets the job done. This paddle is more rigid and less forgiving than say a belt or leather strap, which is good for beginners because it eliminates the damage the end of a belt or strap can do if not used right. The overall size, weight, and feel are just right for however you're going to use it.

As the one receiving the punishment, I felt like this paddle definitely got the point across. I expected it to be a little less stiff; however, it was a fairly stiff leather. The thing that I enjoyed the most is that it is so versatile, it can be used lightly or for strong punishment. I think this is a great toy for all.

If you are looking for a new implement to tease with or you have been told to choose something that will get the point across as a punishment, you can't go wrong with this one.

As my husband and I ventured deeper into our punishment and BDSM play, he told me he had gotten a new paddle. We have a rule that either one of us can buy new implements; however, it had to be agreed upon by both of us before being used. When this arrived, I was nervous, it was thick leather, and we had only used thin leather implements. It was used as a light play and foreplay tool for a bit. When we decided to use it within our rougher play, I very quickly realized that it was a bitter (our word for a strong hit). It was such a different sensation during the spanking, and it was amazing. We have and will continue to use this during spankings AND foreplay.
