Once, long-long years ago, I was a fanatic horse maniac little girl. So much that my parents, knowing how much I wanted to learn to ride, gave me a riding crop for Christmas (or maybe it was birthday, doesn't really matter), and my sister received one too. In my great enthusiasm and immense curiosity about the material, sturdiness, and just the whole thing itself, I was bending and bending it more and more - and finally I broke it, having it only for about 20 minutes. My parents quickly fixed it up by wrapping the broken part around (it was actually my sister's crop), and told me that I had to keep it because of being so silly to break it. Arrrrrggggghhhh...!!!
Years and years later, when both crops were stashed in a storage room already, I just brought in the good crop my sis didn't care about anymore, and took it with myself to my second love, knowing that I had a REAL RIDING CROP with all the blessings of its possibilities for my growing interest in BDSM!

It is built to last, and the one I had had the very same fuzzy tip, it was just a little bit shorter. And it didn't have a soft, more flexible thickness under it, only the bulbous end of the main hard body of the crop.

I wondered a little bit but had to admit that indeed, there are many different horse crops for different purposes, and not every crop is made for the European pleasure riding style of having to rely on such accessories. (As some of you may know, American riding style is more of a work riding, where you have to "be one" with the horse more to have a harmonic and effective work relationship. So you rely much more on your body, and control the horse more with your muscles and voice than tools. At least as I know, with my vague amount of knowledge about such things...)

And indeed, this wonderful crop performs exactly as sweetly as my good old real horse crop - it is exactly as easy to use it, it is perfectly balanced, and it can go from an exciting tease to horrible, torturing pain!

Because of these wonderful qualities it is purrrrrfect for total beginners and most advanced BDSM lovers alike, for a surprisingly affordable price and exactly the desired quality of material and construction!

It looks like this marvelous dark beauty is made out of four different materials.

The thick, hard, impeccably sturdy and soft-to-touch handle is made with some kind of dark gray rubber, and has a bulbous head on the bottom with three tiny holes, one on the top in the center and two on the sides.
The leather loop is attached to the bottom of the braided body of the crop, both ends of it being a ring moving around on the shaft but sticking to it enough to stay on securely. The loop is twisted once, which I never understood by the way, why in the world it is needed - but I guess the creators of such items know the art of it much-much better than I do.

The body of the crop is tantalizingly shiny black braided nylon, and at the tip the end of it is soft and fully flexible, twistable. The shaft itself is completely rigid and hard first, and becomes more and more flexible towards the tip. It is still perfectly hard and sturdy though.

The fuzzy whip tip is made of black and white string nylon, knotted once for a sure hold. You can see that it is surrounded by the shiny black braided nylon, with its strands being a little looser but still holding the whip tip tight. The first, bottom half of the tip is thicker and slightly flexible, whereas the top half is flexible again. The tiny fuzziness on my crop has mostly long black fuzzes and a tiny amount of white fuzz, surrounding the shorter white fuzzes in the center, nestling in in impish viciousness.

This is a long, thin and wonderfully lightweight crop even a little kid could handle comfortably!

The overall length with the tip and all the fuzzes is 36 5/8 inches.
The thick rubber handle is 6 3/4 inches long. The head measures 5/8 inch in length and 3/4 inch diameter, and the shaft of the handle is a comfortable 6 inch length with a 1/2 inch diameter.
The leather loop can loosely cover the rubber head, being 1/4 inch wide.
The braided nylon shaft is 23 3/4 inches long with the knot, with a wee bit more than 1/4 inch diameter. The soft, flexible tip of the black braid is 3 1/2 inches long with the knot.
The overall length of the tip without the part in the knot is 5 5/8 inches, with the 4 1/2 inch long smoothness, parted into the 1 1/2 inch long thicker and 3 inch long flexible part. The fuzzes are 5/8 and 2 1/4 inches long.

If this crop could be a dark flower of seduction and pain then you could call it the healthiest, most beautifully blooming one of all of its kind!
It is made of the toughest, strongest materials, and can withstand the heaviest use! I do think that it will last for a lifetime, and rather for many-many generations to come! It is completely odorless and tasteless, and can be safely used as long as you keep it clean, and pay attention to the health rules of including heavy play items in your pleasure life!

You may or may not know that such riding crops have the fuzzy whip tip to inflict the biggest pain this kind of crop can offer! Yep, you read it right, the soft and fuzzy tip is what gives the biggest pain!

Don't ask me how it works because I still wonder about it. All I know is that when you use the body of the shaft, the harder and more rigid it is the more subtle pain you will feel. And the more flexible a part is the greater suffering it causes!

I remember experimenting with my precious beautiful old riding crop, and found out that I could handle the slightly bulbous tip of the shaft much more than the evil fuzzy tip! It mattered a lot which spot of the shaft was used, because the closer it was to the tip the more stinging pain I experienced.
