Take no evil whip - whip discontinued by PicoBong - review by VeganChick (is Gone)

Picobong's sassy little Take No Evil whip is the perfect introduction to bondage and domination; I should know, seeing as this is in fact my introduction to bondage and domination. This whip is suitable for use by anyone who would like to experiment with light play, except perhaps someone with very large hands. It is very beginner-oriented, so if you are looking for something a little more intense and heavy, you might want to look elsewhere.

The Take No Evil whip is constructed of a neoprene handle and silicone whip strands. Neoprene holds up well to physical use and is often used in BDSM equipment, so rest assured that it will last a good while. I had read from other reviews that neoprene has a strong odor in the beginning, and I found this to be true. The odor does dissipate with time, as I have already noticed with my whip.

I chose the blue one, and the color is almost true to the picture; it is just a bit darker in person. The handle looks like someone took 3 rows of small, raised pyramids and tri-folded it. As such, the bottom of the whip has a little triangular opening, and there is a dented line where the pyramids meet on the sides. (You can see this in the third product picture.) The pyramids are cushy and easy on the hands, but you can feel a firmer construction underneath. Up top, near the strands, there is a small black tag that has the PicoBong logo written on it. The handle measures approximately 5 1/2" long, so if you have large hands you might find this whip to be a bit too small. For me, it fit perfectly.

The silicone strands are made of a rubbery-feeling silicone (the kind that collects lint easily), and have quite a bit of drag. This allows them to give your body a nice "grab" when you smack. They give off nice, high-pitched, stinging sounds when they make contact with the body. The end of each strand is cut at an angle. They vary slightly in length but are about 10" long. They are firmly connected to the whip handle and look to go about two pyramids down inside of it. I personally found these to be a little longer than I would have liked, as they kind of flail about a bit when you are whipping lightly. They do work fine for nice, hard smacks, though.

The whole whip is very lightweight, weighing 0.2 lbs. It is easy to use during intercourse or other activities, and won't tire out your hand or arm.

I was a bit reluctant to purchase a whip; I really thought I would prefer a paddle more. But, being the very anal gal that I am, if I got the PicoBong cuffs and the PicoBong blindfold, I had to get the PicoBong whip. I turned out to be very pleased with this little guy.

This whip really was the perfect way for us to start exploring a little domination in the bedroom. It not only is adorable, but it is sturdy, well-constructed, and feels great in my hand. It delivers some nice stings but is not over-the-top at all. I started using this whip on my fiancé one night, smacking it right on his ass. Within 30 seconds he was rock hard and ready to go, and go we did. The whip was easy to continue to use during intercourse. It really gave me a thrill, stimulating my partner in a new way, and it was quite fantastic literally whipping him into cumming.

I really prefer to be the whipper because I tend to have a low pain tolerance on these kinds of things, but I can stand to be the whippee with this little guy because he is so easygoing.

As I described, this toy is made of neoprene and silicone, and I recommend spot-cleaning the fabric and wiping down the strands with a damp cloth. There was no information given on the package for the care of this product, but EdenFantasys does give a little information about cleaning neoprene and silicone on their material pages.

I keep this whip in my nightstand drawer (which is starting to get really crowded with sex toys), but I suppose you could slip it back into its flotation device packaging (I'll get to that in a minute), but it may get a little crowded in there. It is really rather small and doesn't take up a lot of space, so anywhere you want to tuck it should be fine as long as the strands are not up against other silicone products. Take caution to not use this whip on places that have been moistened with silicone lubricant.

I honestly don't know what is up with this packaging. The whole PicoBong line kind of reminds me of some sort of Hawaiian thing, with the names and the bright colors, and now the weird pool-floaty packaging. I don't know if they were trying to be quirky or what, but it is really strange and I really didn't care for it.

The packaging was made of the same kind of plastic that beach and pool floaties are made of, complete with a little place for blowing it up with your mouth. I actually tried to blow up the packaging, but it didn't really work. The packaging is bright blue, and by the look of the product pictures, all the whip colors come in this same color. The front is clear, so you can see the whip inside. It contains a cardboard insert with the PicoBong logo and some designs that, after looking at for a few seconds, I realized were the shapes of their other toys. The back of the packaging has a slit in it where you can remove the toy, covered by a sticker with a few details, including the product materials and some contact details for the company. I am pleased to report that the sticker pealed off quite easily, and I didn't have to deal with any annoying picking or nasty residue.

One thing that really annoyed me about the packaging was that the whip strands were held onto the cardboard insert with a twist tie. The second I saw it, I knew there would be trouble. As soon as I had untied the little tie, my fears were realized, and I could see that there were dents in the strands. I tried to smooth them out, but they are still there a little bit. Not a good idea, PicoBong. Not a good idea at all.

I don't think I will be keeping the packaging. It just seems useless and awkward.

I really feel like this is a fun introductory aid to getting a little rough in the bedroom. I love how it is vegan-friendly, too. My partner and I aren't into anything really tough or severely dominating, so this was a great addition for us to just get a little silly and naughty.
