Avanti superthin - male condom discontinued by SSL International - review by bdog

My boyfriend and I picked up a box of these condoms|Avanti superthin some time ago because he has a little sensitivity to latex and we were making like rabbits so he was having some mild itchy rashes. The packaging looked promising, and the description made them seem like a really great alternative to waiting for him to stop itching, so we chose these over the naturalamb brand, trying to save a little money (they don't exactly sell economy packs so we would have needed about a box a day) but we were sorely disappointed.

First off, I gave these condoms two bees because they're really noisy! They're polyurethane, I think, and that's a little stiffer than latex. I felt like someone in a movie theater with the crinkly bag of candy. Also, because they're not as stretchy, they fit a bit looser than latex. Once we did get one on him and got going, it wasn't too noticeable for me, but he was having trouble feeling anything. We also had a few snafus where the condom would slide off of him inside me because of the amount of lubrication on it and we all know how gross it is to fish something out of there.

The other thing I absolutely have to say is that if your man is uncircumcised, he won't like these. As we worked our way through the box we had quite a few awkward moments, one was particularly bad. We were getting a little rough and he faltered and then tried to keep going. Finally he pulled out, cursing and probably close to tears, and tried to figure out what was wrong. It turned out the condom had broken and had wedged itself between his foreskin and head. It had basically suctioned itself in there, so he was really uncomfortable. It was kind of like a Chinese finger trap situation. Neither one of us had a good night that night, and we had to wait for his post traumatic stress to pass before we could get at it again. Needless to say, we switched to a different method.
