Trojan Magnum XL is designed for men who get constricted in large size condoms. If you're extra long and extra girthy these are for you! Sadly, if you experience only mild constriction in large condoms (like my boyfriend) these may prove a little too roomy! That's right, there should be a midsize between large and extra large!

Magnum, manufactured by Trojan, is an effective method for use in the prevention of pregnancy and for protection against STIs such as aids. Even so, make sure you practice safe sex because there are still STDs that can be transmitted other ways. As far as pregnancy is concerned, 2 out of 100 women who use the condoms correctly and consistently become pregnant in a single year.

So, what makes Magnum special? Magnum XL is even larger than the original Magnum. In all, it's about 30% larger than the normal sized condom. For me, a lot of this appears to be in the girth.

The condom is tapered at the base to help eliminate slipping during intercourse. We experienced slipping during ejaculation as the power of it pushed the condom off on one occasion!

Each condom is lubricated for friction free pleasure. We used this without extra lube and found it comfortable!

A reservoir is at the tip of each condom to aid in catching sperm. I'm pretty confident in this feature. My boyfriend filled the entire reservoir up and the condom did not break.

Let's get down to size. These condoms will fit a man who is over 7 inches long and will fit snugly on a man who has a circumference over 6 inches. A circumference of 6 inches will make the condom a little loose and it may slip.

These are latex condoms and so if you or your partner has a latex allergy please avoid this product.

Magnums come in a black box with gold lettering adorning the front. Each condom is wrapped in a gold, foil, wrapper. The expiration date on mine is 2015 which is a good 4 years! Finally, the instructions are on the inside of the box itself which means you will have to pry it open and rip it apart to read it!

Magnums feel like, well, a latex glove to me. Even so, my boyfriend said he felt a lot of sensation. These are not good for oral. It felt and tasted like I was sucking on a balloon!

Use only water based lube with Magnum condoms. When finished, tie in a knot and throw away. It's as simple as that.

Sadly, my boyfriend is too large for large condoms and too small for extra large condoms. Sigh, he's somewhere in the middle. I was hoping that these would fit him well but they just proved to be a little too loose. On one occasion it fell right off. Most of the time though, the condom stays in place but he's never confident. We have not experienced a break and I am confident that these are strong condoms.
