Durex love lubricated - male condom discontinued by SSL International - review by Jul!a

My favorite bar caters mostly to gay men, and in addition to having a section once a week where you can get free HIV testing (no matter what your gender or sexual preference), they also give away free condoms. So every time I go I always pick up something new that I haven't tried before. Last time happened to be the love condom from Durex, and I'm on the hunt to find more of these.

The average condom runs 7.4" long, 2.04" wide at the base and along the shaft and head, and .0027" thick.

The Durex Love is 8" long. Its shaft and base run average but it has a head width of 2.5", which will accommodate those guys with a larger head. This condom also runs thinner than average, at .0021". It's not much, but it makes a small difference.

The length of this condom will accommodate those guys that are a bit longer, but if you find that average condoms are too tight for you, then these probably will be too.

Another nice feature of this condom is that it comes with more lubricant than the average condom does. This is really nice if the lady normally needs a little bit of extra lubrication. Always remember that if you feel you're no longer naturally lubricated enough to add more body safe lube that is water based or silicone based. Oil based lubricants can degrade the latex and increase the risk of breakage.

This condom also has the neat feature of being able to be rolled on with one hand. Both my fiance and myself have been able to do this.

I found no real latex smell to these condoms and haven't personally tasted them either.

These condoms should be stored at room temperature. Protect them from prolonged periods of exposure to extreme high or low temperatures, moisture, direct sunlight and fluorescent light. If the condom is sticky or brittle or looks damaged, don't use it.

You would use these the same way you use any other condom with a reservoir tip, pinch the tip to remove all the air, then roll down the shaft.

I've never had a Durex condom break on me, and this one was no exception.

What drew me to these condoms to begin with was the really neat design on the wrapper. There's this little heart with devil horns, and I just thought it was really unique.

While these weren't the absolute best condoms we've used before, they were definitely far from the worst. My fiance is closer to the short end of average, so the extra length didn't really do anything for either of us. We both thought that while using this condom didn't feel like he was wearing nothing, it didn't really have that condom feel either, which is a win in our book. Otherwise it's pretty close to the average condom for both of us.

The gay bar still gives these out, we still use these, and we still like them. They're not astounding condoms, but they get the job done without making us feel like we're doing anything with a large plastic bag, so we're ok with that.
