EZ rider ball with plug - plug discontinued by Doc Johnson - review by Spicy Sunday

The EZ rider ball with plug from Doc Johnson is an inflatable PVC ball with a plug attachment that will accept any Vac-U-Lock accessory (the packaging touts Vac-U-Lock as "The Modular Sex System"). The red plug that comes with the ball itself is not good for insertion; it is designed to attach to a Vac-U-Lock probe or dildo. This toy offers a unique experience for dildo users. It is very different from the sensation of you or a partner controlling a dildo with your hand, or from riding a dildo with a suction cup for attaching it to a hard surface.

With a little imagination it does feel somewhat similar to riding a real-life partner. I think the packaging noted the difference best when it said "compact for travel/easily inflatable anywhere". Try to find a person you can say that about! It's true that it is quite compact (about 8" diameter when inflated), and deflating/re-inflating is quick and easy.

This toy is an inexpensive alternative for people who are bored with regular dildos, but who don't want to spend hundreds on a sex machine that has a thrusting motion. This ball certainly does not provide an independent thrusting motion, but because it has some give to it. It bounces back, and feels more real than a dildo attached to a hard surface. And because the toy raises the attached dildo above the surface it's resting on, you can easily indulge all of your balls-deep thrusting fantasies without performing any crazy gymnastic stretching.

The ball is constructed of PVC, and the plug that holds attachments is made of ABS, a hard plastic. Both of the materials are odorless. These materials can't be completely sterilized by boiling, and while they could probably be wiped down with bleach the ball has seams where fluids could possibly hide, so I wouldn't consider the toy sterilizable for safe sharing.

I was a little disappointed by the ball's material. I had imagined it would be elastic, like the rubbery toys that you could bounce around the room on as a child. The material of the ball is more like a non-stretchy beach ball. However, you can adjust the "firmness" of the ball by changing how much air you put in.

Even though I won't be bouncing high into the air on it, it provides enough "bounce" for its purpose. The packaging says it supports up to 250 pounds. It seems fairly sturdy but I'd keep it away from anything sharp because it would definitely be possible to puncture it.

The ball is about the average quality for a beach ball. The material is smooth and non-sticky, but it does have some seams that can be felt if you're especially sensitive. The pocket that holds the plug seems sturdy, and it is easy to insert the plug into the pocket. The plug itself is made of hard ABS plastic and I had no problem attaching a Vac-U-Lock dildo, and then taking it off again. I just wish the ball had been made of material with stretch to it. The ball is also very lightweight, so it will not anchor the dildo down onto a surface like a suction cup would.

While the ball is relatively small, I think it is a good size for its purpose, so you can ride it without feeling like you're doing the splits. I found it a little bit "short" for my size, so I propped it up on a pillow and it was the perfect height for some deep thrusting.

I've used the ball several times with the 7" Vac-U-Lock Cock dildo and it's worked perfectly. The pocket that holds the dildo connector plug is secure, and I didn't have any problems with the ball deflating.
