Mystical dragon - bullet discontinued by Cal Exotics - review by *Huxley*

The Mystical Dragon is an external use bullet vibrator encased in a translucent TPE sleeve. It's uses range from solo play, foreplay, clitoral stimulation, or stimulation during sex.
This bullet features a mystical dragon design that makes you ponder what exactly was going though California Exotics mind during development. It offers 2 back numbs, a face that offers 3 ticklers and various textures though out. The design is loud but the sound is not. Kicking in at 2 bee's, it can be used by just about anyone/anywhere for quick pick me ups or for prolonged use. It can easily be stored with its small size, making it great for travel.

There is a slight plastic smell to the TPE bullet with the first introduction. Once washed there is little if any remnant of the plastic smell.

The feel of the Dragon sleeve is very soft although firm. The sleeve itself is placed well and doesn't slip around when messed with. When sliding your finger down the bullet there is a resistance. The ticklers on the front of the dragon are noticeably softer than the sleeve. They are easily manipulated but will instantly snap back into place when let go.

Throughout the body there is varying raised textures of the dragon design. It doesn't add much to the over all function of the bullet and is just there for aesthetics.

The bullet is 3" inches long with a 1" inch group of ticklers of the front of the dragons face. The bullet is encasde in a translucent TPE material in pink or purple. There is a slight opening around the back of the cord within the sleeve. I never tried to take the dragon's sleeve off although it looks possible.
There are 2 little 'hooks' on the top of the tickler that are about 1" inch long when stretched straight. There also is a little 'tongue' under the 'hooks' that is a 1/2" inch long. On the back of the head part there are 2 nubs that are 3/4" inch apart from one another. The bullet itself has a winding texture that is supposed to be the dragon body detail.

The control back is a matte pastel purple (in my case, could otherwise be pink). The control pack is 4" inches long and 1.5 inches across the bottom. There is a slide out tray from the bottom of the pack that you place 2 AA batteries in and slide back in until it 'clicks' shut.

The pack is comfortable to hold and tends to be non slippery. You can easily grasps the pack within your hand and use your thumb to control the settings comfortably.

The cord that leads the control pack to the bullet is 30" inches long, making it great for partner play.

On the control pack there are two buttons. On/off is located on the front middle of the pack. The button is labeled 'on'. 7 settings on the top labeled as '7'.
You have to press the '7' button to circle though the controls. Settings are as follows:
1) low vibrations (2 vrooms)
2) medium vibrations (3 vrooms)
3) High vibrations (4 vrooms)
4) Low in and out building from low(1 vrooms) to medium (3 vrooms)
5) Quick pulses (3 vrooms)
6) Quicker pulses (3 vrooms)
7) Quick Pulse (3 vroom), then quick stable vibe (2-3seconds, 3 vrooms), looping back.

The vibrations are strong, but unfortunately the 'hooks' and nubs are hard pressed to transmit the vibrations; they are too floppy to do much. It is mediocre at best and if you don't place it just the right way you will have a hard time orgasming.

The batteries seem to last a decent amount of time.

Water and silicone-based lubricants should be used with TPE toys. Since TPE holds onto bacteria, use condoms when switching orifices to fend off bacteria and UTI's.
Cleaning is finicky. Unfortunately the sleeve around the bullet is unremovable. Since TPE is porous there are places for bacteria to hide so washing is very important. To safely clean this toy: Remove the batteries and replace the pack. Use a very mild soap to clean. Wipe down, rinse, repeat and let air dry. Keep in mind that TPE toys cannot be sterilized.


Always keep your toys completely clean, dry and battery-less when storing.

The packaging The Dragon comes in is a thin cardboard box. Inside you will find The Dragon sealed in a plastic bag. That's is! Simple and sweet just the way I like it. The package was void of any instructions. The only hint of instructions are on the outside of the box. There you will find a simple diagram which show's some information about the toy and its uses as well as the on/off settings. Nothing too in depth.
The box is recyclable, the bag was not.

I have owned The Dragon for about 6 months now. I seemed to have developed a love/hate relationship with it.
The first time I used The Dragon I had high expectations. Those have since changed.
I need to have a vibrator that is strong but quiet, can be easily cleaned and be able to be thrown around from time to time. This was a close fit.

It's strong but could be better. The problem being that it's hard in the heat of the moment to get it placed 'just right'.
The ticklers can sting when on 'high (setting 3)', But, if moved they can be unfelt completely.
The vibrations tend to be transfered though the ticklers poorly.
I am not a fan of the pulse settings since they do nothing for me. I also cannot orgasm if it is on any setting other then 'high (setting 3). It does the job, but can take a while, while some vibes can do it in 30 seconds flat. The vibrations are weak and somewhat rickety.
It's hard for me to use it when in action with my partner. It's too oddly shaped, which makes the placement when having sex awkward.

I am still trying to find what works for me with it but my patience is running thin.

I am impressed by the easy controls, long cord, and the fact that it is waterproof and durable. I am not ready to throw it out and plan on keeping if for a while longer since it's a trooper.

If you are inexperienced, and want something quite with mid/strong vibrations then this is the vibe for you. If you need stronger vibes, then pass this one and go for something better.
