Use

The EZ Bend Spiral is a great multifunctional vibrator. Perfect for clitoral stimulation, or for vaginal penetration, the Spiral is good for solo or partnered play. Waterproof and lube compatible, it's perfect for just about any scenario--and being wire-free means it's portable.

Material / Texture

The Spiral is made of firm, velvety silicone. Waterproof and nonporous, silicone is one of the safest sex-toy materials around. Unfortunately, I found that it had a distinct odor when I removed it from the packaging. Even after I washed it, the scent lingered. I assume that after a few days out in fresh air, it will lose its scent completely.

It has a firm, velvet texture that responds well to lubrication. It's ribbed, which adds to the stimulation when used for penetration. The tip is smooth, though, which makes it easy to use clitorally.

Design / Shape / Size

It's a traditional straight vibrator, with a bending section in the middle. The upper 3/4 of the vibrator is swirled, which adds a nice texture.

I found that the bending section didn't stay bent at all once pressure was removed from it, which was a little disappointing. However, when it was used clitorally, the curve was very helpful in reaching all the right spots--because it bent with my body, it wasn't painfully hard against sensitive bits. It certainly didn't reach my G-spot, but I didn't expect a straight vibrator to.

Size-wise, it was a big toy! I definitely needed to be warmed up for this girthy plaything. However, I didn't find it to be excruciating, just something that required a warm-up.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The vibrations are controlled by a knob on the bottom, which also houses the batteries. Although if you twist the base too strenuously when you're turning it off or turning it down, you can unscrew it, I found that it was easy to tell when I'd turned too far, before it came apart.

The vibrations were located towards the tip of the vibrator, making it perfectly adequate for clitoral vibrations--but I could also feel them during penetration. It is waterproof and showed no signs of leaks, even when submerged.

I did not find the toy noisy in the slightest--of course, with any toy, if used in a silent room it will be noticed, but it was less noisy than my electric toothbrush!

Care and Maintenance

Silicone is nonporous and can be completely sterilized. Between uses it should be washed and stored (they include a cute pink satin pouch to keep it dust free) but because of the material, it can be cleansed completely and shared between lovers.

Silicone is compatible with all kinds of lubricants that are waterbased-but you should never use it with silicone-based lubes.

Beyond that, silicone is easy to care for, but it is ideally stored away from other toys, like in the pouch included. It should be kept away from other silicone products (lubes, and toys alike). You *can* keep all your silicone toys together, but some weird things have been known to happen when toys are stored together, and why take a chance?

Packaging

The toy came in a square plastic box, with a molded plastic insert in which the toy sits. At the bottom was the satin carry case. It made the toy very attractive and would definitely be good for gifting. The box also had some comments on usage.

I want to put a note in here before I say anything more--I didn't dislike this in the first place, but there's no appropriate icon for "I liked it then and I like it even more now!"

I purchased this toy, hoping it would be good for g-spot play. It wasn't, due to the fact that the toy doesn't stay bent, but this is my new favorite toy for clitoral stimulation. Because of the bendy section, it contours to your body, rather than staying rigid and even painful. The silicone is soft enough that it almost hugs your curves, making this perfect for external use. As a penetrative toy, it doesn't do much for me still, but the strong vibrations (I often keep it below top vibrational power) make it perfect. Plus, since I got it in June, I've only replaced the batteries once, with use of at least 3 times per week.

All in all, great battery life, strong vibrations, plus it hugs exactly what I want it to. Perfect!

    The toy takes two AA batteries, and I have not yet had to replace them.
