Wearable G-spot vibrator

Good for clit-licking!

This toy turned out to be a bit of a mixed bag for me. It excels as an external stimulator for me, as the fluttering "tongue" on the end of the shaft combined with the heating element feels fantastic on my clit and nipples. However, it kind of failed as a dual stimulator for me due to the inflexibility of the clitoral part of the toy and the fact that it didn't fit my anatomy well. The vibrations in the shaft and clit stimulator also aren't terribly strong.

First impression

I'd been curious to try a toy with that flickering "tongue-like" action for a while and have been pleased to see that Eden seems to be carrying more and more toys with that feature. The Double Lix, in particular, interested me because it was also designed to be used as a wearable dual stimulator, which was another type of toy I'd been interested in trying. I have loads of dual stimulators, but none that are "wearable," so this guy incorporated two features I was anxious to try. It looked very different from any of the toys I'd tried to date, so I was a little unsure of what to expect with the Double Lix.

The Double Lix arrived in Eden's usual nondescript brown shipping box, with the sender listed as the very ambiguous "Web Merchants Inc.," so those with privacy concerns can rest easy. Unless your neighbours or housemates have ordered from Eden themselves, they won't have any clue about what your package contains. Inside this innocent-looking brown box and nestled in brown shipping paper was a plain white box wrapped in shrink wrap. The box for the Double Lix doesn't have any writing on it, so it's very discreet. Inside this plain white box, the Double Lix was contained inside a molded plastic insert, along with its remote, a magnetic USB charging cable, and a paper insert with some basic information and instructions.

I removed the Double Lix from its box and examined it. It's a lovely sort of pinkish lavender colour, and its silicone felt extremely soft and smooth and produced very little drag as I ran my fingers over it. The toy is shaped kind of like an L, and has a small insertable shaft that has an insertable length of roughly 4 inches and a circumference of about 4 inches at the widest point. The end of the shaft features a small "tongue" made from soft, flexible silicone that flutters up and down. The shaft also vibrates and heats up. The clitoral stimulator projects off the base of the shaft and is about 2 1/2 inches long and 1 1/2 inches wide. It has a little mound towards the end, where the vibrations are strongest, that's designed to contact and stimulate the clitoris when the shaft is inserted vaginally. The clitoral stimulator also has a series of three soft, tongue-shaped silicone petals located kind of in the middle. They're not connected to a mechanism to make them flutter the way the "tongue" on the top of the shaft is, but they do sort of quiver and move a little just from the vibrations of the toy. The shaft is quite flexible, while the clitoral stimulator is totally rigid and doesn't bend or flex at all.

Next, I turned my attention to the toy's controls. The Double Lix has a single button on the bottom of the toy. It turns the toy on and off when you hold it down for a few seconds, and pushing it more quickly cycles through the toy's various modes of function. It has 7 vibrations modes in all: two intensities of steady vibrations/tongue flickering, plus 5 different patterns. This toy can also be controlled with a remote. The remote is plastic and has two silicone buttons: the top one turns the toy on and off, and the bottom one cycles through the toy's vibration modes. Unlike virtually every other remote-controlled toy I've owned, the Double Lix can be turned on and off using only the remote. You don't have to activate the toy using the button on the toy itself first, which is actually kind of nice. This toy also has a heating feature, which is activated automatically when you turn the toy on. It takes a minute or two before you can feel it start to warm up. The heating mechanism seems to be located in the top part of the shaft, near the fluttering "tongue," and the warmth is concentrated in that area. The vibrations seem to be concentrated in the clitoral stimulator and the base of the shaft. I could feel very little vibration in the head of the shaft near the fluttering tongue. I'd classify the vibration strength as a sort of medium on the higher intensity setting. It's definitely not the most powerful toy I own, but it's not the weakest, either.

Honestly, after my first examination of this toy, I was still a little unsure about it. I really liked the look and feel of the flickering tongue and the heating feature, but I wasn't sure how well it would work as a wearable dual stimulator. It was just so different from any of the other toys I'd tried, and I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but I was definitely excited to give it a try!

First Use

To get things started, I first plugged in my new Double Lix to ensure that it was fully charged. This toy has a magnetic USB charger, and I noticed that the magnetic connection was a little on the weak side, so it's best to find a charging location where it won't be bumped or disturbed because bumping it can cause the charger to disconnect from the toy rather easily. When it's charging, the light on the power button will slowly pulsate, and then it will stay lit up when it's fully charged. Once it was charged, I took my new toy off to the bathroom sink for a quick wash. The Double Lix is covered in silicone and is waterproof, which makes it very easy to clean and care for. It can be cleaned with either a toy cleaner or mild soap and warm water. The top of the shaft where the "tongue" is located does have a tendency to collect lube and body fluids, but it's easy to clean it by gently using a soft-bristled toothbrush or a cotton swab. Since it has mechanical parts, it cannot be boiled or put through the dishwasher, but if you need to sterilise it, you can wash it with a 5-10% bleach solution or rubbing alcohol (just be sure to rinse thoroughly). While the toy itself is definitely waterproof, I'm not sure about the remote, so I'd recommend erring on the side of caution and keeping the remote as dry as possible (though you can wipe it down with a wet wipe or damp cloth if you get any lube or body fluids on it).

Once my new toy was charged and clean, I took it back to my bedroom and went through my usual ritual of putting down a towel on my bed and pulling up a sexy story on my phone. I turned the Double Lix onto its first setting (a gentle, steady vibration and steady fluttering of the "tongue") and held the fluttering "tongue" to my clit as I read. At first, it felt a little strange, so I tried adding a little water-based lube (as with all silicone toys, you should stick to water-based lube with this guy and avoid silicone and oil-based lubes), and that helped a lot. That flickering tongue felt awesome, licking at my clit! As the top of the shaft began to heat up, it felt even better. I actually couldn't believe how good the combination of warmth and tongue-fluttering felt! I discovered that this toy works best on the clit with a light touch; pressing it too firmly to your body obstructs the tongue's ability to flutter back and forth, so it worked best when I held it very lightly to my clitoral area. And oh my, did it work! It felt absolutely incredible fluttering against my love button!

Before long, I was extremely wet and aroused, and I decided it was time to try out the Double Lix as a dual stimulator....and unfortunately, that's when this toy started to let me down a little. I inserted the shaft into my vagina, and it slid in easily and comfortably....but it just wasn't doing much for me internally. The warmth definitely felt nice, but because of where the "tongue" is located on the very end of the shaft, it wasn't in the right spot to flutter against my G-spot, no matter how I tried to angle it. There also aren't really any vibrations in the top part of the shaft, so....yeah, it just didn't really provide much internal stimulation at all. To make matters worse, the external clitoral stimulator just didn't fit my anatomy well at all. The little mound, where the vibrations are concentrated, overshot my clitoris considerably, and because the clitoral stimulator is totally rigid and has no flexibility whatsoever, it was impossible for me to adjust it and make it fit better. The series of little silicone petals on the clitoral stimulator also didn't really seem to do much, I think because the vibrations in this toy just aren't strong enough to really create much movement in them. I experimented with every angle and depth of penetration that I could manage, and I just couldn't get much stimulation from this toy with it inserted. Also, I noticed that it didn't seem to stay in place well at all. I suppose it could be "wearable" if you wore it under a pair of really tight panties, but that's the only way I could see this being wearable.

Eventually, it became clear that I wasn't going to get off using the Double Lix as a dual stimulator, so I pulled it out and inserted my Eunoia vibrating egg into my vagina instead, then used the fluttering tongue of the Double Lix on my clit while the Eunoia buzzed my G-spot. That combination was absolutely heavenly, and I achieved a wonderful orgasm after only a couple of minutes combining the Eunoia internally with the Double Lix externally.

My first date with the Double Lix was a bit of a mixed bag. I absolutely LOVED using that fluttering tongue on my clit, but I was a little disappointed that it didn't work well for me as a dual stimulator.

Further Experience

Further use of the Double Lix has confirmed what I discovered during our first date: it's stellar as an external clit toy, but it just doesn't deliver for me as a dual stimulator. It would probably work better as a dual stimulator if it fit my anatomy better. My clitoris is very close to my vaginal opening, so people with less petite genitals may have better luck with it. Though even if it fits your anatomy, it doesn't provide a whole lot in the way of internal stimulation while inserted, and the vibrations in the clitoral stimulator aren't overly strong, so it's not really a toy that's designed to satisfy power queens/kings.

However, as an external clit toy, it absolutely rocks. The tongue fluttering against my clit combined with the warmth of the heated shaft feels amazing! It's definitely a different sensation from any of the other toys I own, and I really love it. I've found myself reaching for this as a foreplay and clit toy quite often. It gets me really wet and turned on very quickly, and it feels incredible when used in combination with another internal toy. I've had some mind-blowing orgasms when pairing it with my Eunoia egg.

I'm definitely glad I decided to give this toy a try. Even though it didn't end up working quite the way I'd hoped, it still provides some excellent stimulation, and I'm very happy I have it in my collection. I foresee myself using and enjoying it quite a lot as an external clit toy. The fluttering tongue and heating element also feels awesome on my nipples.

I struggled a bit in deciding how many stars to rate this toy. I went back and forth between a 3 or 4-star rating. Ultimately I decided to give it 4, just because I really do love it as an external stimulator, even if it was a bit of a bust as a dual stimulator for me.

Vibration Map

I struggled a little with this vibration map. I ultimately decided to mark the clitoral stimulator as a 3, because that's the part that vibrates most strongly, and the "tongue" at the tip of the shaft as a 2, since it doesn't really vibrate....but I feel like the "tongue", and the heat at the tip of the shaft actually provides the strongest stimulation when used on the clitoris or nipples. Some moderate vibration can be felt in the middle and tip of the shaft.
  • Very mild, low level vibration
  • Moderate vibration
  • Strong and easily felt vibration

Orgasm Intensity

I haven't been able to achieve orgasm using this toy by itself, but when I use the fluttering tongue on my clit and pair that with another internal toy, I've had some really awesome orgasms.
Follow-up commentary
I still haven't had much luck using the Double Lix as a dual stimulator, but I still love using it as a clitoral stimulator. That flickering tongue feels really amazing, and the heating feature is awesome (I honestly wish more of my toys had a heating feature because I really love it). Even though this toy didn't quite perform as advertised, I'm still glad to have it in my collection. That said, I'd hesitate to recommend it to someone, mainly because I feel that it's a little pricey for a toy that doesn't function as it was designed to. You can get that flickering tongue feature in smaller clit-only toys for less money. However, if it ever goes on sale and/or if Eden drops the price, then I'd definitely recommend giving it a try.

Great review! I was slightly confused by this toy when I seen it came out. That sucks it doesn't work for you as a dual toy, but the tongue part sounds very appealing! I also didn't realize that it has a heating feature!

Yeah, I was a little confused when I first saw it, too. Honestly, that's part of why I got it, because I just wanted to figure out how it was supposed to work, haha.
