This powerful bullet-style vibrator is an easy to use toy that will please both beginners and advanced users alike. The Petal is designed as a clitoral stimulator, but it moonlights as a teaser for nipples, necks, hips, backs, and whatever external spots you like. The Petal should not be fully inserted, however, as it is corded, and it is not safe to rely on electrical cords for retrieval. This type of toy is not meant to be used in orifices, but it can be used to stimulate around them.

The L'Amour Petal is rigid, and it's made of hard PU coated plastic with a velvety, matte texture. The texture makes it so that the toy has very little drag against the skin. There is no discernible smell to the toy, and as I do not make it a habit to put vibrators in my mouth, I did not taste it. The smooth texture is suitable for all types of users, including beginners.

The petal shape of this toy is what makes it so distinctive from other bullets on the market. It is rounded at one end and pointed on the other, with a rounded bump extending from the bottom. This bump makes it so the toy can cover a large area of the vulva at once. The bump nestles against the clit, while the top part of the petal stimulates the labia. Vibrations are felt most strongly in the bump, which is what you would expect considering it's the part that rests on the clit. The toy comes in pink or purple, and the bullet part is- 3 inches long and 1-3/4 inches wide. The toy is not cylindrical, so this is not comparable to a toy that's 1-3/4 inches in diameter.

The toy has a very long silver cord that attaches it to the remote. The cord is about 26 inches long, meaning you could easily use it in a variety of ways. The cord does tangle easily, however.

The Petal has 8 speeds of straight vibrations and is operated by a push button remote. The remote houses 4 AAA batteries and my rechargeable batteries did fit, though very tightly. It is possible that not all rechargeable will fit, depending on their size. The plus sign turns the toy on, and a red LED indicator light turns on at the top of the remote. When the toy is first turned on, during its first use, it turns on to the lowest setting. When it is turned on in subsequent uses, it turns on to the last used setting rather than starting at the lowest. The lowest setting is fairly gentle, maybe about 1-1/2 vrooms. The remaining settings are incrementally stronger until the highest setting, which I would rate at a solid 4 vrooms. The vibrations are fairly buzzy and high-pitched, which done people may find numbing. This toy is also pretty loud, especially on the higher settings, and would be easily heard through a closed door. The product page says it's waterproof, and I think the bullet part would be okay in the sink, but the battery compartment does not seal, so I definitely would not submerge the remote (or the bullet, for that matter).

This toy is plastic, so you have the green light in terms of product compatibility. Water, silicone, and oil-based lubes all get the green light. Soap and water are an easy way to clean this toy, but an alcohol-free toy cleaner will work as well if you prefer. There are no specific precautions for storage, though storing this in some sort of bag or box may be a good idea to prevent damage to the cord. The packaging it came in would be very suitable for this purpose.

The packaging is basic. It is a clear plastic box with abstract designs and the product name on the front. There is an inner tray that is molded to holds the toy in place. Both can be recycled our saved to store the toy in.

This actually surprised me. I'm usually not a fan of buzzy toys, and I don't really use bullets, but I actually really like this one. It's a little pointy, but the way it sits against my clit while also vibrating against my labia is a really nice sensation. I would have given this toy five stars if the vibrations were more rumbly, but overall this is still a really solids choice. I have been pleasantly surprised at how much I like this bullet.
