Reflections love - traditional vibrator by Doc Johnson - review by Valyn

The Reflections Love is a new glass vibrator from Doc Johnson. It is best for vaginal use, but could also be used to stimulate the labia, clit, nipples, or anus. Because there is no wide base, I would not recommend using it for anal penetration. The thickness of the toy makes it more appropriate for more experienced users, or users looking to stretch themselves out. It is waterproof, which makes it a great toy to take in the shower or bath.

This toy is made of borosilicate glass, or tempered glass. This type of glass is hypoallergenic, latex and phthalates-free, non-porous, and very body-safe. There is no smell or taste that I noticed, at least. The whole toy is very smooth, and there is spiral ridge swirling down the shaft of the toy. The spiral is a big bump, and even with my experience I felt the ridge too much, in an uncomfortable way.

The gold toy is somewhat whimsical-looking, while still looking like a traditional vibrator. The 1.5 inches in diameter would have been fine for me, except for the swirling ridge. The swirl was too much for me, and felt uncomfortable. The insertable length in fine, almost a little too short for some users, but with the thick ridge, I didn't insert the toy all the way. I don't find the toy to be very discreet, and because it's glass I don't think travel is very easy with this toy. There is no case that comes with the toy, but I recommend getting one, just to store the toy easier.

The vibrations are easily felt throughout the toy, a nice feature I can only attribute to the vibrator being made of glass. The toy is extremely easy to use, with only one button to turn on the vibrations, cycle through the different patterns, and turn the toy off. It works fine in water also. The noise level is like a small appliance, and can probably be heard through a closed door.

Glass toys can usually be placed in a dishwasher or otherwise sterilize the toy; however, because this toy uses batteries, this is not an option. To clean the Reflections love just use warm water and soap on the shaft of the toy. I always like to avoid soap and water near the controls of a toy. It can be used with just about any type of lube. Because it is glass, it doesn't have hair and dust sticking to it, but it will attract some dust over time. I suggest getting a cloth case for the toy to store it easier.
