I Don't Give 5 Stars Often...

The above photo depicts what you'll be faced with (sans my beloved Rubik's Cube) once you're done unpacking your discreet package from EdenFantasys. Even snooping neighbors wouldn't be able to tell what you've got coming in the mail with the plain cardboard box!

Sitting inside an intricate, beautifully designed box, you'll find your newest addiction - the Womanizer Duo. It's housed in a plastic insert, and further protected by a clear plastic shell. Because the box itself is rather sturdy, it would take a lot of effort to actually damage the toy before getting it to its owner.






I could barely contain my excitement at this point! Upon breaking the seals, which state "Hygienic Seal, Returns are not accepted once the seal has been broken." in 3 different languages, I removed the protective plastic. And I sat there, in awe of what I had just opened.



Because most of my toys are already some shade of black or pink (we really need more colors to choose from!), I decided to opt for the Bordeaux (red) option. I let myself pick up the DUO, and the soft silicone immediately reminded me of the texture of rose petals. Maybe I was just over-hyped and fantasizing away, but the color helped. Inside the box, you'll find a lovely collection of items: the DUO, a storage pouch, the USB charging cable, a spare (large) nozzle/head, an instruction manual, and an "#IMASTURBATE" card." I found that the gold bits on the storage pouch are oddly annoying, so I ended up removing them and giving them to my birds to play with.



Once I had everything unpacked, I quickly turned it on to check if it were functional (it was), then set it aside to charge. While checking if it was working, I was surprised with how effective the "Smart Silence" feature was - the clitoral portion does NOT turn on unless something's touching the nozzle, which I can see as very convenient.

I was so excited about my first use that I almost ended up slipping in the shower. I vividly remember shaking with anticipation. Half a year ago, I would have never thought I would be holding one of these in my hands! I remember seeing it in a local store and marveling at its weight, luxurious feel and power.

The toy itself is big. And heavy. I bet I could knock someone unconscious with it if I tried.
It boasts 12 vibration & clitoral pressure wave intensities, which can be controlled by the 4 main buttons dead center atop the oval part of the toy. They increase and decrease those intensities, respectively. It is possible to have one on and the other off (vibration on, pressure wave off). Closer to the nozzle is another button which allows you to shuffle through 10 vibration patterns. On the back of the toy is the on/off button. The widest diameter of the G-Spot arm is just over 1.25", so it's not too scary for most (if you're a virgin, inserting this will likely hurt a bit).

After applying a few drops of lubricant over the insertable portion of the toy and to my clit, I slipped it in with ease and powered it on. If you have ever had the chance to feel a rumbly vibrator, take that, and multiply the rumbliness tenfold. The DUO is the master of rumbly vibrations -- even my Rechargeable Hitachi Wand isn't as rumbly (the Hitachi is by far more powerful [and more buzzy], though, don't get me wrong). I laid back in the bathtub and relaxed. The bulbous part of the vibrator does a fantastic job at coaxing me to climax & its shape makes it easy to caress my G-spot with minimal amounts of pressure. When in use, I get the vibrator bit of the toy about 2.5-3 inches inside myself, depending on how I angle it. It doesn't hit deep - and at times, I really wish it would. I found it easy to hold the DUO between my thighs, effectively making it the first hands-free toy I could use with both internal and external pressure-wave stimulation of this caliber. I suppose I didn't even know that I was really looking for something that could do that lovely pressure wave stimulation AND vibrate away inside of me at the same time.

I let my imagination wander, and soon my hands decided to do the same - I was finally able to let myself enjoy caressing the softness of my own breasts (which no other toy had let me do) while the DUO did as it pleased. It certainly pleased me... a lot, if you know what I mean. As time passed by, I steadily raised the strength of both the clitoral and internal portion, and I remember my eyes rolling back into my head from pleasure (without climax, yet). I couldn't get enough of the rumbly vibrations this toy had to offer, and soon I was laying there, legs shaking & barely holding the DUO up, covering my own mouth to keep quiet, with the toy running at the maximum strength.

Now despite typing up this rather steamy story for my first time with the DUO, the climax wasn't all that spectacular. In fact, it was quite weak, and based on the process, I expected something earth-shattering. The charm of DUO has ended up being the process itself, not the orgasm. This proved true with many consequential test runs. Additionally, this toy advertises itself to be quiet - I gave it 3 vrooms, but it's really more like 3.5 vrooms. It's quiet at the lower speeds but gets almost exponentially louder as you up the strength.

As mentioned in the previous section, further tries with this toy make the build-up to orgasm with the DUO phenomenal. Quite frankly, it puts any other build-ups I've had to shame, and I can't get enough of it, ever. In fact, I find myself wanting more of the build-up than the actual orgasm, and that has never happened before. It's unlike any other I've ever experienced, and I struggle to keep myself quiet during that build-up time (which says a lot, since I can usually stay quiet just fine). I strongly believe that this is because of the ridiculously rumbly motor in the insertable portion of the DUO. It's incredible, and whenever it's on, I swear I can see stars.

However, the actual climax from this toy is rather anticlimactic. It's satisfying, yes, but it's only that. I am beyond addicted to the Womanizer DUO only due to its ability to make the path to orgasm as majestic as it does. My description of this build-up to orgasm does not give it the justice it truly deserves. I don't need to move this toy to thoroughly enjoy the sensations it provides. It's actually possible to orgasm with zero assistance from my hands! Previously, I had to hold one clitoral toy with one hand and thrust away with a dildo or vibrator in the other hand. With the DUO, I'm able to simply hold it between my thighs and not have to worry that the clitoral portion will slip off or that the insertable part will fall out of me.

Godly vibrations and lazy orgasms aside, the Womanizer DUO holds a charge like a champion. I was able to knock out 6 30-minute sessions before the toy sputtered to a stop mid-squirm. Even then, I was able to power it back on (on low) and bring myself to orgasm (within some 10 minutes?) before the battery was completely drained to 0%. At that point, I was able to look into the clitoral portion and see that the little white light (which is usually steady when on) was flashing, signaling a low battery alert... but I got my orgasm, so everything was fine n' dandy! I do wish that there was another way to tell that the battery's dangerously low without it stopping on me... The Womanizer Premium has 3 lights which show how much battery's left, so perhaps Womanizer will add that in a future iteration of this product.

Although lube isn't required, per se, I do strongly recommend using it, especially on the clit part. Please make sure to only use water-based lubricant with your silicone toys, as silicone-based lube can and will eventually destroy your toy. Another point I'd like to mention is that using the internal vibrator on my clit is in-cre-di-ble. The rumbles are (again) divine. Additionally, you may want to consider laying out a towel beneath you if you plan to use this out-of-the shower, because this thing will make anyone squirt like a veteran -- especially if you use the vibrator portion on the clit.

I realize I've been talking non-stop about the quality of the vibrator portion of this toy. The pressure-wave clit bit does not disappoint, however, I've felt better quality pressure-wave sensations from the LELO Sona, We-Vibe Melt, and Womanizer Premium. If you're not desperate for a 2-in-1 toy which would allow for hands-free solo play, then I think you may be better off using your favorite vibrator (or dildo) in tandem with one of the previously mentioned toys, as the DUO is very expensive. The Sona is best for clits made of solid diamond (extra strong stimulation), the Melt is good for long-distance relationship play & for the extra-thuddy, deep sensations, and the Premium is good for both beginners and experts alike (as it has a wide range of intensities, an autopilot function, and smart silence to help you stay discreet).

I have played with the vibration patterns, but as lovely as they are, I'm a fan of the good ol' plain vibration. In my head they're not necessary. There are 10 for you to choose from, controlled by the button closest to the nozzle. Below you'll find them described as I understood them. Vibration does travel from the internal part of the toy to the egg-shaped part which you hold in your hand, but it will not leave your hand numb.

As mentioned a few times in this review so far - my orgasms with the DUO aren't that powerful - but the process, the buildup to orgasm is to die for. I think the best way to use this toy is for buildup alone, and then reach for your favorite to give you a strong, beautiful finish. That said, I do like using this toy for "lazy orgasms", in which I have to put 0 effort to achieve - be it in the bath, or here at my desk.
