The tag line for the Ideal should be “Get off and stay off”. It delivers extremely intense vibrations, in two speeds: high and higher.

I bought this “massager|Ideal Massager by Natural contours” instead of a Hitachi Magic Wand|Hitachi magic wand vibrator for one reason: it’s cordless. This is a mixed bag in that a full charge (according to the instructions that came with it) takes five hours, and one charge will only last for one hour. I haven’t maxed it out yet, but five hours seems like a long charge time for only 60 minutes of operation. Also, the charge indicator is simply a red LED that lights up when it’s charging. I would really like if the color of the light changed to indicate it’s fully charged (what am I going to do, put an egg timer next to it?). Another downside is that you’re not supposed to use it while it’s plugged in, though it does turn on while charging. The handle gets hot while charging which I think indicates poor electrical design.

The reason that the 60 minute run time hasn’t posed a problem yet is that this thing will make me orgasm in (seriously) less than a minute. When it comes to my pussy, I can’t bring myself to use it on anything but the low setting as even that is earth-shaking. On low, this thing vibrates so hard that it makes my hand kind of numb while holding it.

This vibe is loud (even louder on the high setting), but it’s not absurdly loud. For example, I’d bet that if you took it into the bathroom and turned it on with the shower running, you couldn’t hear it through a closed door. That said, this is in no way discreet.

As an actual body massager the Ideal isn’t really my, well, ideal. While the asymmetrically shaped handle is nice in that it makes it easier to reach hard-to-reach places, I don’t really like the way it bombards my body with vibrations. I wish there was an oscillation setting, or a lower vibration setting.

The “get off and stay off” notion comes from the fact that this vibrator can make me orgasm so intensely, and make my tissues so sensitive that I am satisfied for days. On the other hand, it can make me so juicy that it whets my sexual appetite for the rest of the day (or night). This is all based on use as mainly a clitoral vibe. I haven’t yet used it with any of the attachments, but I anticipate really liking a cock-like attachment.
