Let's Twist Again

The rose twister is a great toy for those looking for a thick toy for a satisfying experience. The shape is beautiful and the twisting pattern feels amazing. And, as a very nice surprise, the vibrations run strong enough through the head of the toy to make it functional as a clit vibe for those that aren't comfortable with its size or are just going for a different experience. Just be careful to read the details on TPR silicone as the info on the package can be misleading.

Use

The Rose Twister vibe is a fantastic TPR vibrator for those who enjoy a girthy toy for a full feeling. It works best when used for vaginal penetration and has a raised spiral running the length of the toy to stimulate you when it is thrust in and out. And unlike some other longer plush covered vibrators, I've found the majority of the power of this toy to be in the head. This makes it especially nice if you prefer to use your toys for full removal and penetration, not just minor thrusting.

Since this toy is so long and thick around, I have had some problems using it comfortably for penetration. In order to do so comfortably, I have to be very well lubricated and already pretty excited. This is where the top-heavy vibrations come in handy yet again, because it has a slight taper to the head and has actually gotten me off as a clit toy, although it is a big toy to hold just for that. Because of its size, I would not recommend it for beginners or those who are just built on the small or very tight side, like me.

Because this toy has no properly created flare - it does have a very SLIGHT flare, about 1/4" octagonal shape at the base of the TPR portion - it should NEVER be used for anal.

Material / Texture

This toy is made of a hard plastic vibrator covered in a thick layer of gorgeous metallic deep rose colored TPR silicone. Because it is TPR, it has no smell or taste, and is soft enough to be comfortable and plush against your inner parts, but solid enough for vibrations to transmit through it. It has a bit of a sheen to it as well, which only further sets off the amazing color, and provides a slight bit of drag to the material, but makes it glide nicely when a little lube is applied. It is a phthalate free material but should only be used with water based lubes - silicone lubes could damage this toy.

The spiral up the shaft and slightly tapered head of the toy is defined well enough to be felt upon each and every penetration, but the TPR and shape of the toy make it comfortable and does not have that rigid feeling that tends to turn people away from toys with well defined shapes or heads.

Design / Shape / Size

The spiral up the shaft and slightly tapered head of the toy is defined well enough to be felt upon each and every penetration, but the TPR and shape of the toy make it comfortable and does not have that rigid feeling that tends to turn people away from toys with well defined shapes or heads.

This toy is on the large side and may not work well for people that aren't used to being penetrated by something this size. It is however, perfect for people that enjoy a really thick toy to fully satisfy them. I would not recommend this for someone looking for a toy that's easy to hide, or those looking for something to travel with.

According to the packaging, the TPR sleeve can be removed and the slimline vibrator can be used alone. I have not, for the life of me, been able to remove the TPR portion. But seeing as all that's underneath is standard light grey slimline vibe, I don't see the need to use it separately.

Functions / Performance / Controls

This toy is super easy to control. It works by a simple dial at the base that smoothly moves through several levels of vibrations, taking it from very low to moderately high. I prefer to use it at just below the highest speed, and it always does the trick for me.

Unfortunately, one of the fall downfalls of this toy is that the moderately high orgasm-inducing vibrations come along with a moderately high noise. It can easily be heard through a door, and even if it could be used in the shower or tub - which it cannot - it would not be able to be disguised well there either. This makes this toy best for those that live alone, or at least with some significant difference between themselves and the next person.

Although it may be fairly basic, the shape of this toy combined with its design really do a killer job together and I really wouldn't change it if I could.

Care and Maintenance

The twister is fairly easy to care for - it can be cleaned with antibacterial soap and water or your favorite toy cleaner. It cannot be boiled.

The TPR material tends to be a magnet for fuzzies and lint; therefore this toy should be kept in a separate bag by itself. It could also be stored in the plastic snap case it came in.

Packaging

Upon first glance, the package this toy came in is pretty basic, but not much is needed to package a vibrator. It comes in a molded plastic display box with the advertising documentation.

My biggest issue with the toy is actually in this bit of advertising. The front reads "silicone" in huge letters and also "100% platinum cured". On the back of the package it says: "our silicone is 100% platinum cured, which means it is the highest quality silicone on the market. This also means your Hustler silicone product is more hygienic and longer lasting than other silicone products"

This product, based on EF description, is TPR silicone. This is a blend that contains a minimum amount of silicone, and also has a softer, shinier texture than pure silicone toys in my experience. I am concerned that the labeling on the toy could cause someone without much toy experience to mistake this toy for medical grade silicone, which is even safer than TPR and can be boiled.

Personal comments

Overall, this toy did its job very well. It worked every time I reached for it; I found this toy best for solo play only. Although I did find it a little large to use for penetration at a moment's notice, I was very pleasantly surprised to find that I could use it as a clit toy despite its size and thick coating.

My only two problems with the toy are both spurned by the packaging. The "100% platinum cured silicone" labeling could easily give the wrong idea and it also says that the TPR portion can be removed, which I did my best to do, and failed.
Follow-up commentary
I don't use this toy as frequently as some others I own, but I do still enjoy it. I reach for it when I want something a little different or when I want something more filling than most of my toys. The material and motor have held up perfectly and the battery usage is still appropriate for something with this vibration level.

I don't see how they can get away with calling TPR silicone true 100% silicone! Sometimes I feel the sex toy industry needs a little regulation.

I agree...but between reading EF's description which says its TPR and my own experience of knowing it's just too rubbery and shiny to be medical silicone, there's no way it's as 'pure' as the packaging reads.
