While I initially used the toy at home, I then took Maia on the road. Lavender and gray, Maia stylishly resembles a cosmetic case (an extra thoughtful detail), which makes it even more discreet. Made of plastic, about 2 1/2" of its 4 1/4" length is insertable. It functions with a turn for on/off and is powered by three watch batteries.
Finally, batteries are included. Not only are batteries included, but since it only requires 3 and 6 are provided, a back-up/second set is provided. This ranked Maia way up there because when I considered how many of the toys I own or have owned that came with batteries as well as an additional set, I could not recall a single purchase that included TWO sets of batteries… but… I found that the batteries did not last that long (thank goodness for the extra set). Given that my watches seem to have exponentially longer lives, this aspect could be troubling, especially if in the midst of the moment.
I found the Maia to be one of the best personal massagers|Personal vibrators/portable toys precisely due to its size, design, and stimulation. A guide is even included in the packaging about sensitive spots and hence, where/how to apply the toy. The insertable part is shaped like a lipstick, but is significantly thinner. Yet, it delivers orgasmic, multi-speed vibrations, which provide true entertainment value en route to the market. Who knew errands could be so enjoyable. I have to agree with Epiphora... I've only had one good clitoral stimulator that took watch batteries. -
While you may agree with Epiphora regarding watch batteries, I would not discount a toy simply because of the size/type of batteries--even if they may not last long. It is a con no doubt but not worth dismissing the potential pleasure to be had. Besides, there are enough pros with Maia that the battery issue is minimal. Then again , maybe taking a toy on the go is not for you, so the pros may not matter in the end. -
Love your title for this review! Location,location,location,that's a great title! If this ran on something other than watch batteries your title alone would of had me purchasing this toy.
