The Blue Dolphin is a traditional vibrator from Pipedream Products Inc. It is part of the Playgirl Signature series of toys the company offers. The vibrator was designed by women for women with curves that are designed to conform to the contours of the body. It has the appearance of a dolphin minus the dorsal fin but does include a contoured tail for clitoral stimulation. It uses two AA batteries to power the motor and the vibrations are controlled through a twist knob at the base. The vibrator is waterproof, phthalates-free, and is made of TPR silicone. The manufacturer also states the vibrator is non-toxic and hypoallergenic. It is simple to care for this vibrator, simply clean before and after each use with the warm water and antibacterial toy cleaner or mild soap. Since it does have silicone properties, water-based lubricants should only be used with this vibrator.

The speed of the vibrator is controlled by twisting the base of the vibrator. There is a slight amount of twisting required before the vibrator initially turns on but once on the controls are responsive. There are two slight humps along the top of the vibrator that provide minimal G-spot stimulation and some ridges at the bottom third that provide some labia stimulation when the vibrator is fully inserted. The vibrations are mainly focused in the top two-thirds of the vibrator and at the highest setting the vibrations are only slightly noticeable from the ridges to the tail. The base of the vibrator and the curved tail function well together as a handle and the speed setting is not easily altered while in use.

The vibrator is firm but is flexible in the area where the ridges begin. There was a noticeable rubber smell when the vibrator was removed from the package but it was not overbearing. There was also some glue residue along the base of the battery compartment where it was attached to the vibrator. A condom is recommended if you plan to use the vibrator for anal use or sharing, there were some noticeable mold defects in ridged area of the vibrator. The mold line runs the entire length of the vibrator and although it is visually noticeable, it is not felt during use. Fun to look at, the Blue Dolphin is a traditional vibrator with a unique appearance.
