Check Size, Pressure Rating First

This is, most likely, not the size you are looking for, unless you're: an experienced pumper, John Holmes reborn, or you intend on pumping scrotum and penis at once. Even without directions and a cylinder that is too large, you can still achieve positive results with this device. Just don't buy too one that is too large if you're hoping to help your ED.
Published:
Pros
Increased flaccid length; increased orgasmic strength; maybe increased erect size.
Cons
Wrong size makes pumping difficult; silicone sleeve slips; no instructions.

extremely useful review
First, a little background information - I've never pumped before purchasing this device, and I should have done more research beforehand. I'm of average length, and, when fully erect, above average girth. In a moment, I'll get to the importance of that distinction. For the moment, product dimensions.

Diameter: 3" OD at base, 2.75" ID at base; tapers to 2.5" OD at top.

Length: 9"

(To clarify for those thinking I'm bragging, I'm referring to the pump)

Material: Clear polycarbonate

When I had the opportunity to purchase this on buy-out, I did so in hopes of helping with my medication-caused ED and improve my flaccid appearance. I can't say that I've had much success in the former, probably due to my own error, but I'm surprised that the latter has improved in just a short time.

Now, before you purchase this item, here are a few things you should know. First, Colt provides NO instructions on use with any of the individually-packaged items (cylinder, sleeve, or pump). So, to warn you, as a beginning pumper stay below 5 in Hg in negative-pressure, and limit yourself to no more than 10 minutes per day under pressure. Do not be frustrated if you can't get that much pressure or have problems keeping a vacuum if you are new, particularly considering the size of this cylinder (see below); it's VERY tricky from what I experienced.

The other thing to consider is that you should base your choice on the *flaccid* size of your penis. I made my choice based on my known erect dimensions - diameter and circumference. The problem with this is that the vacuum is based on your flaccid dimensions, unless you intend to use this while fully erect already. Even then, I'd suggest not going above 2.5" in diameter, as 2.75" and 3" are (as I found out after the fact) advised for pumping with penis *AND* scrotum. That said, you'd have to be at average or below average to fit penis and scrotum into the sleeve on this size (yes, I tried, and it was not something I care to do again).

Another thing to consider is that even with the 2.75" sleeve, you might want to find a pipe-clamp from the local hardware store to put around the sleeve around the outside of the cylinder. This is because as the vacuum pressure increases, it tends to pull the sleeve in as much if not more than your penis. After a while, this creates air leaks.

Overall, despite my own failures in pre-purchase research, I'm pleased with the *concept* here, if not the actual product I ordered. The latter part is entirely my fault for not looking up information on sizing ahead of time and making inaccurate assumptions.

At a later time, I will attempt to use it while erect and include that in a follow-up review.
Experience
As I mentioned above, I purchased this item on buyout for two reasons. One, as mentioned in my profile, is that I have medication-induced ED. Two, while I'm in no way ashamed of my erect size, my flaccid size is a bit embarrassing. I was hoping this product would help with both conditions...so far, it's helped with one, and helped with something else unexpected.

While using this device, I didn't experience any erections. Even with a ring on, it didn't help me get an erection, which probably is due to the lack of vacuum pressure from the larger-than-necessary size. As I said above, unless you are exceptionally above average or are intending on using this to vacuum your penis and scrotum, this size is probably not for you as it wasn't for me. However, that's not to say this was a complete failure.

Now, penis pumping is a subject of debate as to whether it helps, hurts, or does nothing for penis size. What I can say is that while I can't vouch (at this point) for its efficacy with ED and am uncertain about erect penis size (it certainly seems to have helped at least a little there), I certainly noticed an improvement in length and girth when "at rest". So much so that I was a bit surprised recently when I noticed the change. This could be partly due to increased stretching of the penis over normal conditions - something that could be accomplished by simply having more frequent erections as well - but I think it actually does have something to do with stretching the spongy tissue of the penis WITHOUT erection.

The other surprise that I can confirm is that my orgasms have much, much more power/pressure than before, even if I haven't pumped that day. So much so that it was startling when my suspicion was confirmed when I managed to clip my own shoulder with a stray shot. So, vacuuming certainly does have *some* benefits, even when mucked up slightly.
