This is a good example of a hands-free vibrating sleeve for men. Once lubed up, you can simply slide it over the penis, and it's ready to go and doesn't require manual manipulation. There are two different spots in the sleeve that vibrate: one around the head and one lower on the shaft. It's great for solo play but could be fun for a couple's foreplay as well (especially when given your partner the controls!).

This is my first Lelo toy, and the quality is everything I had hoped it was. The external body is metallic, which gives itself a solid feel when holding it and turning it on. The inside is a very smooth and comfortable silicone. In general, it has a very luxurious look and feel.

The design is pretty unique for a solo toy. The inside is not like a traditional sleeve since it contains multiple motors and sensors. This makes it fun to play with and helps it to stand out from other toys on the market. Since the inside (and outer body) are not flexible at all, it could cause issues for different sized men. I consider myself fairly average, and it seemed to fit well. Bigger men might have an issue fitting or only having sensations on the part of their shaft, while smaller men might not be able to utilize all of the vibration parts.

There are two ways to use this toy. The first is manually from the controls on the toy itself. There are simple "+" and "-" buttons on the toy, which can be used to change the intensity of the vibrations and motors at a basic level. It is a nice backup from the app but is fairly limiting.

The second is the advertised app. This is where I begin to tough on the "false hopes" portion of the review. The only app available at the time of the review is the "Demo" app. It's simple to connect to the toy via Bluetooth, but there isn't much going on with the app itself. It allows you to control the intensity and speed separately and also allows you to see the information from the sensors (temp, orientation, etc). But that is all the app does. The website even states that the Demo app is available, and "An exclusive LELO app will become available to you when your product is shipped", but that simply is not true. Their advertisement video even teases things like VR integration and a way to work on lasting longer, but those are not available and are "possible" with the provided SDK.

The toy is very easy to clean and maintain. The toy is completely waterproof, and the inside is a solid and sealed piece of silicone. This means you simply need to run it under the sink and give it a spray with a toy cleaner. They even include a sample cleaning spray in the box!

Lelo does not disappoint when it comes to packaging! The toy comes in a box that looks and feels like you just picked up a new high-tech gadget at BestBuy. Inside the box are a number of goodies. Aside from the toy itself, it includes some useful freebies such as sample lubes and a toy cleaner. There are also some gimmicks like a "do not disturb" sign and some gloves (which I admit I have not used). Very professional packaging and a nice way to keep everything together.

The biggest letdown of this toy is the lack of progress on any other apps or features for the toy. The demo app is exactly that: a demo. It doesn't take advantage of any of the sensors and does not integrate with anything else. It simply is a way to control the toy with your phone, and that is all.

I think my biggest frustration is the clear lack of progress on this. I have taken a look through the SDK, and they have statements and dead links in the documentation that state things like sample projects: "We are working on these and will be adding them to our SDK repository in the following days." That was posted 7 months ago. I have yet to find any 3rd party apps from other developers as well. It almost feels like the project was canceled or defunded.
