Limited potential

This is a basic penis pump with some flaws. It comes with two sleeves, a chamber and pump. It has basic functionality and can accommodate someone up to 8.5" and girthy. It has a translucent chamber, but unless you are in very bright light it can be difficult to see through. I've seen better pumps and this one lacks any particular high-end qualities. Save your money and go for something better.

Use

The Nick Hawk full potential is your average penis pump made by Cal Exotics. These are sold and marketed in different ways, with various promises, but are always followed by a disclaimer of "novelty use only". Some promise to enlarge your penis. Well, it does temporarily anyway, but not permanently. At least not scientifically proven. Mostly they are used for men who need some help achieving and maintaining a full erection. For those of us who don't need help, it can offer a new experience that is stimulating and fun. Seeing your penis grow in a penis pump is neat and you can expand it beyond its normal size briefly.

It's not really something you can masturbate with. It's strictly for foreplay and/or preparation for sex.

Material / Texture

The chamber is made of plastic. The tube and pump I presume are plastic and PVC respectively, while the sleeves are silicone. This is pretty standard fare for a penis pump. This is kind of a beginner/intermediate pump with no fancy bells or whistles.

The matarieals are food-grade material, hypo-allergenic, latex free and phthalates free.

The plastic is a smokey translucent color. The sleeves and pump are black.

Shape / Design / Size / Fit

The chamber is pretty typical, but is a black smoke colored plastic. A bit less see through than some models. It accommodates someone up to 8.5" and is quite girthy at about 3" in diameter.

It's fairly bulky, but should be easy enough to hide. It is not a discreet toy or suitable for travel really. All I can think about is Austin Powers going through customs getting busted with his Penis pump. The hose is about 25" long between the pump and chamber. The bulb is fairly large at 4" long.

There were no directions included with the set. I had a pump a long time ago that was easy to use and less girthy. I usually did not bother with the attachments, as for me it was just a novelty to try. The sleeves did fit on easily on that one though.

This one however, I found confusing. I wasn't sure what to do with the sleeves. The one seemed straightforward and fit the chamber, but it was too loose to stay put and get your penis into it. The hole was a bit tight, as well. I didn't really see how I could pump myself with that loose sleeve.

The 2nd sleeve was odd. I wasn't sure what to do with it really. It was closed, save for a tiny x-shaped hole at the tip, that I wasn't even sure was supposed to be there. It was much narrower than the chamber too. I searched and found photos of it wrapped around the base of the chamber, so I figured it stretches around the lip. I had a hard time stretching it that far. I just did not seem large enough to fit that way. And so, 30 or less seconds in from trying to get it over the chamber lip the sleeve tore almost in half. It looked useless before, but now it definitely was useless for good. I'm not even sure what it does. I figured maybe it was a sleeve to masturbate with, but it feels way to tight to fit me or most men and definitely not very long to be of much use. I guess I'll never know.

So I tried the first sleeve again, in the same way, and was able to curl it over the lip of the chamber OK, so to the best of my knowledge that is how to use it. The package claims they are silicone, but they feel more like some kind of rubber. Not a great design IMO. I'd have expected silicone to be more durable and stretchy.

The sleeve is not very comfortable and it is hard to insert my penis at all. Lots of lube needed and just not a very sexy feeling using this toy. I found the whole thing frustrating and not fun to use, like I had expected.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The chamber and pump function as advertised. There is a safety release valve on the pump for quick release of pressure, in case things get too tight or to avoid injury. There is little noise. Similar to a blood pressure pump and release.

The toy is waterproof, so you can use it anywhere and no special care is required for cleaning.

You can use the included sleeves or you can just press the chamber opening up against your pelvis so that it creates a vacuum (I did this with my old pump, rather than use the sleeves, but this one is so much wider it does not work well that way).

Care and Maintenance

There are no special care instructions. You can wash with hot soap and water and let it air dry or towel it dry. I would not leave it in direct sunlight or exposed to intense heat. Otherwise it is pretty worry free as far as toys go. You can store in a pouch or just toss it in a drawer or secret hiding place. To save space, you can stuff the pump and accessories inside the tube.

Packaging

The packaging was a basic cardboard box with a photo of Nick Hawk on the cover. He's not naked, so it's not offensive or anything, but it's obvious it is a sex toy. There is some info about Cal Exotics on the box too.

The toys are wrapped in plastic bags inside the box and all the packaging is recyclable.

Personal comments

This is really nothing special. Spend a few extra bucks or shop around for something better. There is nothing to rave about for this toy. I don't "need" a pump, but thought it would be fun to try, but this particular experience was anything but.
Follow-up commentary
I use this on occasion, but not frequently. One of the sleeves tore when I first used it and the other is too tight, but I'm able to use it withtout the sleeves by holding against my pelvis and does good enough for me.
