JO prolonger desensitizing spray - spray discontinued by System JO - review by AvaLaRoux

This product is completely not worth the purchase, I honestly felt no difference at all when the spray was used as compared to without the spray. I did not like the texture--it felt quite dry, almost as if I tried using a small amount of water as a lubricant. Even when combined with a lubricant, either water-based or silicone-based, I felt no extra anything. The bottle labels the product to "Intense and prolong ecstasy" and "Amplify and invigorate" my sexual experience but after a simple--I'm disappointed to say, due to hopefulness about this product--masturbation/intercourse routine, I felt the same pleasure as always.

The smell isn't very strong at all--a little noticeable for the first second or two, almost like a slight alcohol, but it dissipated very quickly. An opinion from the partner I used this with is that the taste is quite bitter, so I wouldn't recommend this for use during oral sex. I used this spray multiple times (on my own and with my partner) at the minimum recommended amount and also at an excessive amount, and never felt a discernible difference. It always felt exactly the same, as if I hadn't had this on. I literally basted and soaked and tried to massage my penis in the solution, but after all the effort there was nothing to show for it. The main ingredient in the product is benzocaine, which is a numbing agent. It probably is not present in a high enough percentage to actually cause any sort of noticeable reaction or feeling.

The slight positive side of this product is how little is used per spray. The recommended application amount is 3+ sprays, not to exceed 10. (At one point, I felt as though i tried to use 50 sprays just to see if an excessive amount would change anything). In total I would say I used about 100+ sprays to test this product and found that barely any of the bottle's liquid volume was lowered--maybe 1cm of the liquid level was used. I wish I had more to say about this but sex was really was no different than it would have been without it. In laymen's terms, there is no extra "bang for your buck." Sad, I know.
