I really enjoyed the product and I feel that it is great for couples, obviously due to the subject matter of the DVD. I also encourage you to sit down and view the DVD with your partner as well. It will be a great way to introduce bondage into your relationship if you want to try it for the first time. Note that this DVD covers bondage only and it does not cover anything else that may be part of BDSM if that is what you are looking for. I also feel that this DVD is great for beginners more so rather than experts – it is all light bondage, nothing too hardcore.

Communication is a major key note made in the video and must be present in any relationship that you chose to bring bondage into. That is why I feel that watching the DVD together as a couple is great because it will allow you and your partner to begin your communication about bondage. It really helps if you have a hard time beginning the communication at first, you can watch as the couples use bondage throughout their sessions and comment on what you would like about it, don’t like about it, and what is off limits.

The DVD case is straight forward, it has Midori and one of the actresses on the cover. Midori is a writer and a sex expert, who has written a few books (2 are sold on EdenFantasys as well). VividEd is the studio and they have released a wide range of instructional sex DVDS. The video was directed by Tristan Taormino. The back cover gives a great description about what is included in the DVD and I love the picture of the woman on the back with her hands tied together. It also shows some great examples of the bondage that they show in the video. The DVD menu is very easy to understand and navigate. The only complaint that I would have about it is that the smaller text on the menus are a bit fuzzier and harder to read. I blame that on my TV though; the DVD was made for high definition, so it should show up fine on HDTVs.

The DVD starts out with Midori talking a bit about bondage, she gives great tips and tricks, and makes sure to add in advice for safety. Which is important, because I feel that a few people may jump in without taking safety into consideration. Then she gives safety advice, and adds in the prospect of coming up with a safe word or safe signal. She goes over tips on restraints (wrist, ankle, collars, blindfolds, etc.) and how to use them, and then even gives tips on what to look for when purchasing your items. Another thing that I loved was that she even gives tips on proper house hold items that you could use for bondage. After this, she goes into the lesson portion – where she is working with a couple on how to transform their bedroom and make it ready for bondage. After that she works with them on using the bondage, Midori shows how to properly tie the woman’s wrists using a silk sash. I didn’t realize how many ways you can restrain your partner using silk sashes or scarves. Midori then goes through and shows how to use independent restraints and shows different positioning of the woman using the restraints.

After this portion it then goes into sessions showing two different couples incorporating forms of bondage into their sex session. To me, it was like watching instructional pornography –so if you are a little uncomfortable with that idea, you may not want to watch the rest of the video. While the scenes play, Midori gives commentary on tips, tricks, and safety instructions. The first session will give you ideas on positioning, the use of under the bed restraints, independent restraints, collars with leads, and more. The second session shows the use of a door jam restraint system, and then turns the tables and shows the use of bondage on a male, and even shows her use a cock restraint on him. One thing that I really liked was that the couples in the video have really great chemistry – I completely forgot that they were just actors and became convinced that they were real couples. The way they acted with each other and how they looked is so natural. It really helped me to get into the video more, because it didn’t seem like it was just two people having sex and faking it all the way.

The Special Features on the DVD includes a Photo Gallery, Bonus (which includes the instructions on how to do a “Midori Scarf Harness)” & Behind the Scenes footage.

I was very excited when EdenFantasys was willing to provide this DVD to me for a review assignment. I had been eyeing it for a while before I was offered (after requesting) the product to review. I was a little unsure of whether or not the product would really suit me and my partner or not. We have tried a little bit of bondage before for fun – but not to this extent and I have been curious to try something more. My doubts vanished as soon as I got the DVD in the mail and watched it with my partner. My partner and I have done bondage play before, and the DVD still got us talking more about bondage with each other. He even thought more about what would be off limits for me to try with him, so I felt that talking more about it helped make it more intimate.

It really helped to inspire my partner and me and even gave me new ideas for positions with our tether restraints Which is what I have to play with for now because I don’t have a whole lot of restraints, collars, etc. – at least not yet. I’ll admit the first time I watched the video with my partner, we didn’t get through the whole thing without trying and experimenting things on each other. So the video is going to have to be done in two sessions, and I’ll add a little more on that in my follow up review. When we sat down to watch it, my partner became so impatient that he was complaining about how there were too many previews on the DVD. Ha ha – I really enjoy the DVD and it’s quite inspirational. Unfortunately I don’t own any independent restraints (at least not yet, I have some coming in the mail soon) so I will add more on the use of those in my follow up review. I’ll also be looking for bungee cords and click hook-ups soon to add to our toybox because of the DVD. It really helped to get my creative juices flowing as well because I was able to see how many ways you can position someone as well using simple restraints. It even gave me the idea to use our tether restraints to bind my partner to himself in different ways rather than a piece of furniture. I definitely recommend this DVD to those who are looking into starting out with bondage, I am glad that my partner and I did as well. Watch for my follow up review, I’ll be adding a little more about it and more on my partner’s opinion of the DVD as well.

I still absolutely love this DVD, my partner and I enjoy sitting and watching it together and it gave us both great ideas and information on using bondage.
