An Interesting Approach

An interesting read for someone who is new to fellatio or is having difficulty performing it as well as they'd like, but not a very interesting read for more advanced or confident participants. Some clinical speak about facial structures, may be boring for some.

This book is written from the perspective of a speech and muscle/myofacial therapist, and does contain some interesting insight into how all the muscles in our face and neck play a role in our ability to perform good oral. However, some may find the large amount of content having to do with tongue positioning, facial relaxation etc to be completely confusing. I found the exercise diagrams to not make a lot of sense to me, so I skipped them. Additionally, I am pretty sure that if you actually tried to think about all this while performing fellatio, you would completely overwhelm yourself.

I think this book would be a good total overview introduction for someone who has never performed oral sex or who had a bad experience with it. For someone who is confident and looking for some new techniques or ideas, I'm not sure I'd recommend this one. It is pretty academic as well and I think I prefer more lighthearted approaches to books like this. I just don't see myself exercising my tongue fifteen minutes a day in pursuit of better oral sex.

This book is short, with about half the book dedicated to exercising the tongue and face, and about half dedicated to techniques that run the gamut from obvious to not-so-obvious-but-still-pretty-basic. Illustrations are slightly cartoonish, but accurate; though those demonstrating positioning of the tongue, are confusing to look at (at least for me). I would have appreciated a little more of a "troubleshooting" section to help with some common problems from this more unique perspective, but there wasn't much in the way of that. I found while reading that I wasn't always sure whether I was reading a book about oral sex, or about speech therapy and learning to speak correctly, which was a bit of a buzzkill at least for me.
Experience
I consider myself to be good at performing fellatio. There wasn't any content in this book that I hadn't already tried or read about before. The approach was interesting and may be really helpful for someone who is struggling with oral sex or who has never tried it, but I didn't find the book to have much relevant content for me.

Face exercises? Lame, doesn't really fit with what you think the book should be about
