This little book is great for the inexperienced pegger. Whether your a couple getting into pegging, or if your a person considering proposing the idea of pegging to you lover, this book can help you prepare for what to expect. Everything from explaining what pegging is, and isn't, to anatomy, how to ask for it, to other types of male anal foreplay this book can help.

One of my favorite aspects of this book is what to expect during playtime, from the women's point of view. Most of the book seemed to be written from a "I want to peg my husband" point of view rather than a "I want my wife to peg me" point of view. One section can help women understand why their man wants it, and what he might be feeling emotionally, as well as physically while being dominated. I think this was a helpful aspect of the literature since a lot of men ask for this type of role play for different reasons, and reading this book together or discussing this topic might help answers each others questions.

One of my least favorite aspects of the book was how it seemed to be written for women interested in the topic, rather than couples, or men. Don't get me wrong, there is a lot of content for couples, copious amounts, but it seems most of the "why" and "how to ask" seemed to be written for women, rather then men, or couples even. The title could probably have been "The Adventurous Women's Guide To Asking Your Man To Let You Peg Him And Then Some Content For Him To Read As Well". That may seem harsh, I had a fun time typing that, but that might give you the gist if what I mean. The word "couples" is misleading in the title. I'd say it's more like 70% info for her, 20% info for couples, 10% info for him.

I initially flipped through most of the book since I already new I had a prostate, already had anal play with my wife, and already knew why I wanted it. A lot of the book seems to be for absolute beginners to anal play, let alone pegging. Towards the back though, there are some great "discussion starters" that I used to talk about my intent with strap on sex with my wife. It really helped answer some questions for her.

Though it was a great book as a beginner, and as a helpful discussion tool when I brought the idea up to my wife, I don't use it much anymore. It isn't really a reference book. Strapon sex, to me, is sort of once you've done it, you know it. Though there is a sexy story in the end that I've read a couple times.
