The Mammoth Book of Illustrated Erotic Women is a must have for lovers of erotic photography and budding photographers—you're sure to find some inspiring images within the thick pages of this book! And I'm not just saying that because I was in it.
Published:
Pros
Easy to carry, not pornographic, high quality images, varied themes.
Cons
Not coffee table sized.
I took a few days to consider writing this review — I'm actually IN the book as a model. But I figured that since I don't get a royalty check or anything, and it doesn't promote my work or list my name, I'm in the clear and I can go on about the rest of the book in peace. And no, I won't tell you which of the models I am in this review. You'll just have to guess — or pick your favorite and pretend it's me!
The Mammoth Book of Illustrated Erotic Women is a fantastic study in the modern incarnation of erotic photography. Everything from digital to film, retouched/altered to au natural, are represented in this thick volume of lovely pictures. And from vanilla glamour to glossy kink, naughty to nice, you can find it all. The photographers featured are from all tracks — amateur, semi-professional, professional, and their work wildly differs from each other except for the one fact that shines through: these people LOVE the art of photography.
This is not a coffee table book — it's a paperback, and a thick one at that. There are a few bios of each photographer, but the star of the show are the images. Ranging from lush to stark, the images are artistic, wonderful presentations of the feminine form. The artistic message comes across in a non-objectifying, non-pornographic, yet very sexy, very erotic way.
I highly recommend this book to those who are curious about or lovers of the art form of erotic photography. It's definitely worth picking up to add to your collection — it may not be "spank material," but it is definitely inspiration material, whether you are a model, a photographer, or just someone looking to get in touch with your more erotic side.

Recently, I moved, and got this book out of storage. Looking over it with fresh eyes, I really appreciate new and different details in the vast array of erotic photography styles contained within. I think this'll be on the coffee table for a good long while, as it's just so interesting - there's something for everyone!

I like that the book is really sexy, focused on the imagery, and avoids feeling raunchy and pornographic.
