extremely useful review
This book will have you giving fantastic massages with little time and effort invested. I really mean it. Before I got this book, I was giving my wife massages here and there, but never did she go out of her way to ask for one. Now she is constantly asking for different massages all the time, focusing on different parts of her body. This book went into heavy detail on how each massage needs to be given and provided different varieties. It was almost a little overwhelming. I'm not exactly the A+ student type but this was doable. I thought it was just going to be a book explaining the basics, but instead I got this amazing and thorough college-level book. There are multiple types of massages to go through which include all parts of the body. Just an excellent buy that any couple should own.

The Book of Massage really goes through a bunch of great techniques, but what really stands out are the detailed pictures, text descriptions, and type of massages.

The pictures in the book were fantastic, because it not only showed where you needed to massage for what, but also how your hand should be curved or shaped. I originally started giving my wife massages with my palm, but soon found out that fingertips could make her purr. The pictures also included diagrams of how you should motion your movements along whatever body part you were massaging.

Text descriptions were another fantastic addition to the book. Just an example: "You begin by stretching the back, to loosen it and establish your own rhythm. Next you stimulate all the body functions by applying pressure down both sides of the spine with your palms, then your thumbs." That is step 1 of 9 for that massage. All other massages were just as detailed and wonderful.

The type of massages are almost as important as the detail. Again, when I got the book I was just looking for the basics, but ended up with way more that I bargained for. The book "teaches" three kinds of massages: Standard Massage, Shiatsu, and Reflexology. Standard Massage is exactly what it sounds like, massaging everything from the neck down to the feet. Shiatsu is a massage all the way from Japan and is basically pressure points massaged on the body with finger tips as well as elbows and knees. Reflexology is the basic principle that there are certain points on the feet and hands that can be massaged to benefit the organs and other body muscles. Each chapter takes up almost 1/4 of the whole book, with the remaining having advanced reading on body parts and how they can be further stimulated.

Overall, this book is one of the best buys that I've ever made. It is in constant use and worth everything that was paid. Men, take it from me and just buy this book. It will be worth everything you ever put into it.
Experience
When this book first arrived to our apartment, our roommate discovered the book lying on our table. He shouted out to us why we had his book. We were a little confused since it had just come in that day. Turns out, he had taken a massage therapy class in college and used the very same book. Sure enough, reading through it, the detail is nothing short of top notch.

I'm glad it's more of a textbook than an erotic-themed book.
