Kinky (PPV style) Graphic Kama Sutra (finally!)

Suggested positions specifically for women to come to orgasm. The "for him" side is really a "for her" as well, as pretty much penetration feels wonderful for men no matter what. The photographs make it very simple to see how the position works.

About author

Anne Hooper did an excellent job transcribing from the Victorian English translation of the original Kama Sutra, written over 2000 years ago by Vatsyayana.

As she explains, she retained the sensual, descriptive flavor of the Victorian English, with the slow, sensual guidelines that Vatsyayana originally (and quite brilliantly) established.

Content / Style / Audience

Wow. Finally a Kama Sutra book that is pocket-sized, has photography of actual PEOPLE doing the positions (ummm yes, obviously you can contort that cartoon women's legs like that...), and full-color, full-spread (ahem) photographs accompanied by a wonderful description and aptly-named position. Keep in mind the photographs are of actual naked partners, but no penetration is shown - it's erotic, not pornography (too bad).

This book is unique because each position has a description of what works best (if you have a smaller or larger partner), what props to use (a pillow here or there for comfort or support), and what the benefits and/or downfalls to each are. Of course, the best way to find this out is to try them, but for those less adventurous, or with less time, the descriptions are wonderful.

The "For Her" side best describes positions that will bring the woman to orgasm (more g-spot and clitoral stimulation positions), while the "For Him" side describes what feels best for him (which basically could have consisted of one page saying "sex", but whatever).

The descriptions feel as if they have been tested and proven, not just Cosmo-esque bull-shit. I think you'll find this mini book delightful in finding and trying out some new, flavorful positions.

Design

Pocket-sized! The perfect excuse for having it in your purse! Even if you're bored on the plane, you can whip it out and start memorizing all the new positions you want to try next ...

The dual-sided, flip-book nature is also unique. The front is "for her"; flip it over and start reading "for him" (with an index at the end of both sections for easy topic searching).

The front does say KAMA SUTRA so not very discreet ... but then again, if anyone is looking, they're going to be seeing full page, full color photographs of sex positions. I don't think anyone is going to be reading the Kama Sutra next to their parents anyway.

Personal comments

Great visuals, highly recommended. Small sized, so you don't feel awkward pulling it out during love-making. ONLY hetero-friendly, (as it is "for him" and "for her"), so if you're LGBTQ, I'd definitely recommend looking elsewhere.

I've never really enjoyed many Ann Hooper books, but maybe this will be the exception. Good review.
