Stormy Daniels directs Wicked Passions: Heart Strings, an installment in the Wicked Passions series from Wicked Pictures. This series is marketed specifically toward couples, this one in particular being a scripted story and not a series of unrelated scenes. It was a touch on the cheesy side for my taste, but I can see the appeal for those who have not had much experience with porn or prefer a softer type of film. There is a market for this type of film, and Wicked is capitalizing on it. This would be a great tool to introduce a shy girlfriend into the porn world, as it focuses more on relationships, tenderness and story rather than just sex, sex, sex. For someone like myself and my boyfriend, who watch porn fairly regularly, it was a bit of a let down. The production value was okay, and I appreciate the use of a full script, but I just wasn't interested.

I purchased this film because I have enjoyed Micheal Vegas' performances in the past and thought this story sounded interesting. He plays the lead, a down and out county singer who finds himself at a ranch run by two sisters, played by Brooklyn Lee and Gracie Glam. Micheal charms Brooklyn with his singing and animal loving ways and they eventually hook up in a very tender, loving way. India Summer almost ruins the deal when she shows up, revealing a dark part of Micheal's past.
I have to say, I was disappointed with the sex scenes. They were forgetable and boring, but I can see where this type of film would be appealing. It is a step up from Skin-A-Max flicks, but I feel it lacks enough chemistry, passion and variety for an advanced porn watcher.
The music was the most appealing part of this film, but not enough to make me want to watch it again and again. I should have read the description more in depth before I decided on this film.

The DVD also features interviews, a bonus scene with Seth Gamble and Brooklyn Lee, the trailer, and an additional Wicked Pictures scene. To be honest, I was so uninterested in the film, that I didn't make it to the bonus features. The interviews are probably the only one I would consider watching, as I am a Micheal Vegas fan and would like to hear his thoughts on the film.

My boyfriend and I did not particularly enjoy this film, but I can see that it has a market. This makes rating it a bit difficult for me. If I had to rate it for my own taste, I would give it 2 stars, but that is not really a fair review. The official rating I am giving it reflects how I would rate it if I imagined I was part of the targeted audience.
