Playgirl: Red Hot Romance - dvd by Playgirl TV - review by Polyserena

This was a reasonably comfortable movie for me to watch. It was actually a series of saucy scenarios, and a couple of bonus features.

The videos are shot in many different locations which give a more realistic feel to the encounters. None of these are typical bedroom scenes. The sex arises unexpectedly and at times unanticipated. The first scene is a very nature loving couple quite naturally and without a hint of sexual tension, do it somewhere by a bike track during the day. Other settings are in a music studio, a truck stop in the middle of nowhere, an interrogation room, a forbidden office, and at the back of a building at night (read.. a studio room).

The sexual roles that women played in this film are also diverse. There is the seductress (who turned her trainee into dopey), the shrew (who rejected a guy for all of two seconds before she decided to give in to a good bangin’), the dominant interrogator, the girl taking a risk with a bad boy, and of course the free and easy sporty relationship gal. I couldn’t really see myself in any of these scenarios, but the more I think about it I think I liked the shrew the best. Okay, so her guy didn’t exactly use the best line on her, but he was very hot. Much in the style of James Bond- I don’t remember him using any good lines on his girls. The isolation of the truckstop made a good backdrop to the steaming hot sex among the chairs and tables of the diner.

The scenes are very vanilla in terms of sexual activity. Only vaginal penetration, manual stimulation and oral sex. And no prolonged microscopic quality close-ups of the genital region. However in the music scene there was a sloppy cum dripping blowjob that made me gag a bit (weak stomach). Luckily there was only one such scene, which I could forget.

Overall the cast were very attractive, and this could work in your favour if you are a highly visual person.

The bonus scene was quite a lot more believable to me. It is a middle aged couple taking the time out to relax and have a picnic and their open sensuality with each other leads to an extended sex session. The music was quite fitting too. There was a break in the movie where they switched positions and it brought in a new kind of mood that was a little bit disruptive, but overall it was quite a nice sensual scene to watch. I think the only reason it wasn’t given put into a main feature was perhaps the broken scene and the brief presence of a microphone in one of the scenes.

I’m sorry to say I didn’t enjoy the solo scene as much as I thought I might. The solo masturbation scenes seem to be a common feature in many playgirl movies. The guy was hot as hell in his calvin kleinies, but I felt less like someone who was casually watching a mans intimate moment with himself and more like I was being performed to at a strip club. The guy did an outstanding job, but it just wasn’t something that turned my mind on.

I am quite unaccustomed to watching pornography and don’t often have the means or desire to do so. I think the oddness of a lot of the scenes and the music intruded on my thoughts and I became a critic instead of a consumer. Since watching it through the first time this doesn’t seem to bother me quite so much, and I might use it as a ‘pick a fantasy’ porno dvd. The fantasies have the potential to be more real once my imagination (and occasionally the mute button) have made their mark. It’s not a movie that I could share with a partner because we’d both be snickering. I think I’m still searching for a style of porn that more fully meets my erotic desires. I imagine this is going to be quite difficult with my kinky tendencies but weak stomach.
