Summary: Savanna (Miss Jones) is a virgin suicide who begs Jenna (The Devil) to grant her just a little more time on earth before her descent into hell. Jenna obliges but only if Miss Jones totally and completely surrenders herself to the sins of the flesh!

This is a 3-disc set that includes the feature film of The New Devil in Miss Jones, a bonus disc packed with extra footage from every scene in the remake, and the original Devil In Miss Jones 1973 version. Personally, for me, the best thing about this set was that the original version came packaged with it. Not only is the cover art misleading; from Jenna’s brunette appearance (on cover) when she is blonde (in film), but the misleading storyline that places you in a state of confusion as to what is going on is annoying as well. This movie had so much more potential for an outstanding remake, and Paul Thomas ruined any chance it had. Maybe I’m picky about my porn films, but when the original is a form of perfection, don’t tamper with it, because it’s fine the way it is, especially when it tells the story perfectly.

Throughout the film we’re given flashbacks of what Savanna (Miss Jones) has seen and done, and the scenes are lacking passion and we’re met with poor acting skills on the actor’s part. The actors themselves are appealing to the eyes however, and the scenes between them make for a decent flick serving its purpose. There are also lesbian encounters in this film, between Jenna Jameson and Rachel Rotten, as well as an intense orgy scene at the end. If you manage to make it through to this scene, it’s the best one in the entire film, and pretty much rescues all chances of hope being completely lost. You could always just skip through to this scene as well.

If you’re a big fan of Jenna Jameson, I suggest you look elsewhere, as her feature on the cover art makes her out to be one of the main stars when she isn’t even in the film much. As I said, the cover art is misleading. Savanna Samson really isn’t appealing to me, and her take on Miss Jones didn’t impress me either. The "artistic" and "real" vision Paul Thomas tries to bring to this film, lacks all manner of artistic vision and is very disappointing. The hype surrounding this film, the AVN awards, the big budget they had during production, where is it exactly? It didn’t show in this film.

What you’ll find in this movie are scenes of anal, oral, girl/girl, girl/guy, facials, and a few cumshots on the actresses’ breasts. There is also some ATM, which I wasn’t too fond of. As with all Vivid productions, there’s condom use, promoting safe sex. The ads before you get to the menu are annoying and outdated, and could easily be done without. The special features include a commentary by Jenna, Savanna, Paul and Georgina, from the original DMJ.

Georgina Spelvin also makes an appearance in the remake, but you won’t be seeing her having sex, so no worries. The scenes in The New Devil in Miss Jones range from missionary position, to needle play. If you buy this DVD and are disappointed with the remake, there is always the original film packaged with it, which is sure to please.

This movie didn't interest me in the slightest after watching it once. The only thing good about this three disc set was the fact that the original version of Devil In Miss Jones came with it. Savanna Samson, if she can act, she certainly did not keep my attention in this film. This DVD is more than likely going to be one of those that remains on my shelf collecting dust. Yes, it was just that boring.
