The Guide to Lesbian Sex|The Guide To Lesbian Sex is the best coffee table book I’ve ever owned. Especially now that I have my own coffee table. My friends come over and give me a weird look, then flip it open and automatically appreciate my love for soft core porn. Who knew naked girls came in the educational sense, too?! The book is just a coffee table book—not a how-to guide. But, it is a lot of fun, and it does give nice suggestions on ways to turn your lovers on that you may have never considered before.

I looked the book over with a friend, and we both laughed at the absurdity of licking someone behind their knees, the positions the photos show the girls in, and the suggestions it gives, but they all prove very palatable. The book is overall a lot of fun, a nice conversation piece, and a nice reference source for new positions and tricks for the novice of girl-on-girl|Girl on girl sex fantasies. The book would have suited my fancies far better if it featured an actual how-to. Not “how to go down,” but “how to create pleasure.” This book simply said, “Use toys! It’s sexy,” and showed pictures of girls with toys. I was under the impression that it would be more of, “Use toys! It’s sexy, and this is why…” It is only unfortunate that the book doesn’t offer more to go off of. It’s as if the author started out, got halfway there, then got tired and said, “that looks good.” But don’t get me wrong, if you’re already confident you know what you’re doing…then the book is great. And since I’m confident, I think it’s great. Again, you can’t really go wrong with a book full of naked ladies, right?

The book is definitely a nice addition to any collection. It does have useful information, I just wish it said…more.
Follow-up commentary
I came across this book in my search for a DVD, and when asked about it, I said, "Well, it's a bunch of pictures of lesbians accompanied by about seven words." Then I opened it. (Just curious. I've forgotten.)

I read a few lines. It's more helpful than I remembered. This book isn't a guide for "I've just stumbled home drunk with another woman, how can I get her off?" it's a guide for "I'm in a relationship with another woman, and we need to find the way to make each other feel good."

Now that I can open it up and actually appreciate the words, I like the book a whole lot more.

(Although the models don't make very convincing lesbians! ;))

Sounds like it's inappropriately titled.  Just "Lesbian Sex" would have probably been more appropriate than "The Guide To Lesbian Sex."

Wow! What a a different take on this book than the other review. I love the odd looks from your friends. I'm so into that! *Cheers*

When you originally review the book did you thoroughly read it or just skim through it? Or was the follow-up information just passages you reread and found new meaning for?

I thoroughly read the book both times. I just appreciated it so much more the second time around! It actually meant something instead of just feeling clueless about everything they said.
