Wow, what can I say about Les Bitches? I laughed, I cried, I gagged. Okay, I mostly laughed and gagged. In my experience, this is not your typical porno flick. It starts off with some classic archetypes like "the handyman" and "the maid," but beyond that these characters spin out of control. They weren't joking when they call these ladies bitches. They all went around saying and doing pretty much the worst things you can think of to everyone. They all seemed lazy, calculating, and obsessed with money. In addition to these unpleasant characteristics, they all seemed to have very serious psychological issues as well. One of the girls clearly has some body issues and is obsessed with her own mirror image. As the "plot" develops this seems to spiral into psychosis, ultimately leading to a sex scene with her own imaginary double. It's a little bit confusing and it's also the only girl on girl scene in the whole movie. I found that a little disappointing, since I was hoping the "Les" in Les Bitches refereed to lesbian. Another of the women has a strange fetish for dirt, and strangely rubs the stuff all over her body at the point of orgasm. It was unexpected as it was odd.

I've seen some pretty out there porn before, but the characters in this film were seriously nuts. Speaking of nuts, I hope you like some t-bagging, because these girls sure do! Pretty much every scene contained a blow job of some sort. Lots of deep-throating and many facials. In fact, it's hard to think of a body part that didn't get jizzed on at some point. The male orgasm was well-portrayed, I thought. It was actually one of the things I enjoyed about this movie. I like to hear a man moan and groan, and we got a lot of that. If you're looking for realistic female orgasms though, I wouldn't choose Les Bitches. The anal angle was also explored quite a bit. Speaking of angles, one nifty feature of this DVD is that you can pick and choose your viewing angle in select scenes. If you want to see a blow job from above, behind, the side, etc. you've got your choice of cameras to select.

In terms of the message given by Les Bitches, I am split. I was impressed by the continuous use and integration of condoms into the sex scenes. I think it's good to portray safer sex as sexy, and this film did that. On the other hand, there were some quite disturbing themes of partner abuse throughout the film, and going both ways. The bitches themselves were verbally abusive to their partners, and that's to be expected. I won't argue with dominating, dirty talk. The real problem was the physical/sexual abuse we are shown and is implied. For instance, in one scene a woman literally suffocates a man by sitting on his face, although he attempts to revoke consent. That was a BIG turn off for me. In another scene, a woman is grabbed violently and shoved, albeit into a pool. Later we see this woman wearing a neck brace, and being manipulated by the same man. Look, rough play and domination are a-okay in my book, but domestic violence and non-consensual sex are never okay. I really think this film crossed the line.

I have never felt the urge to watch Les Bitches again since the first time I reviewed it. For me, there is much better porn out there that is hotter and more socially responsible, i.e. doesn't include partner abuse.
