A bed of roses - candle by Lover's Choice Inc. - review by Lady Neshamah

I like a romantic night just as much as the next person. But to me, romance is much simpler than most women. I am a girl that thinks with her stomach so a nice night out for dinner does wonders to get me in bed and all of my lovers know this. It doesn't have to be a fancy night out, just good food. One of my fave places to get romanced with food is little hole in the wall greek places that a couple can get a lot of food for about $20. Yep, I'm that easy a girl.

But I have had classic romantic nights as well. I had been planning a night for my husband on a night that he wasn't over tired from work. I picked up A Bed Of Roses to have some fun with him. In the box there is about one hundred burgundy silk rose petals. They did have a slight rose scent to them. I know that the site says that they are flavored, but I sure as hell wouldn't ever even try that. The scent is actually very light on the petals. The petals are to be spread out over a bed to set the mood or have sex over them. I wasn't sure about setting them out on the bed and having sex on them. I am a total lube slut and I know that silk flowers are a bitch to get lube off of if you want to keep them around for more than a few minutes. I liked the scent of the petals and I didn't want to just toss them out after one bit of fun with them.

There is also four little tea light candles. They are the kind that are a little cheapy and are the wax beads fused together. The kind that crumbles if you look a them wrong. But they do burn for about five hours and that is a long time for tea lights to go for. They are in plastic casings. But still put them in a holder to protect what ever it is that you are going set them on. They have that soft warm glow that all tea lights have and that can really set the mood for anyone. They have no scent what so ever when they burn so the rose petals are all that can be smelled in the room.

The set also comes with a little invitation card. This was just to cheesy to even bother keeping around. There was no point in leaving it some where for my husband to find. He got the hint faster than he could have picked up and read the card.

Over all, the candles are nice even tif they are cheaply made. And the rose petals made a nice bit of potpourri for in the bathroom.

The roses from A Bed Of Roses lost there sent after two months, but I am still using them in a number of things. But the rest of the stuff just didn't hold up that much.
