True bliss bustier coat set with hose - bustier discontinued by Escante - review by leatherlover

Intro
When I opened up my large box from Eden, this was one of the pieces inside. As I started to unload and store the new items, I hung this up by the kitchen for my wife to see. She was very excited to see this white piece of lingerie, because she doesn't have very much white at all, and she has no bustiers either. This arrived in the Eden box on a hanger, inside of a plastic bag. A small tag was attached with a photo of this item, a babydoll, and another bra/garter combo. On the back was a tag with a bar code and just the item number. The item itself has tags on the thong, coat, and bustier. The tag on the thong we removed immediately, but the other tags didn't bother my wife.

Design
This white and pink sets includes 4 pieces; the bustier, thong, a sheer jacket, and stockings. The set is made out of 95% nylon and 5% elastane. The jacket says it is 100% nylon. The jacket has a small closure on the front, that can be a little stubborn at times. It consists of a small hook on one side, and just a fabric loop on the other. The stockings my wife has not worn, but they seemed pretty basic. The thong was also basic, but not horrible either. The real star of the set is the bustier. It is a stretch bustier, with no clasps, hooks, or laces. The only adjustment comes from the shoulder straps.

The bustier has unpaded cups, and it consists of lace front and back. The front has 3 bows on it, 1 in between the breasts, and 2 at the bottom above the garters. There are 2 plastic boning strips in the front under each breast, then a length of pink ribbon down the front center. There are 4 adjustable plastic garters, 2 front and 2 rear, and they are mainly white, with pink closures at the bottom. The back is just all lace, and along the bottom of the bustier is a different lace, and along the top is pink trim.

The jacket is a sheer material, with small white dots all over it. The front has more pink trim the runs from the pink belt, up and around the neck and back down. It also has short sleeves that extend 9 inches from the top of the jacket. Around the waist is a thicker lace, then right at the clasp is a pink ribbon to tie into a bow, that measures 22 1/2 inches on each side.






Wear and Use
Putting it on was easy for her by herself, and everything fit her perfectly. Unfortunately, she didn't like it on as much as seeing it on the hanger, and neither did I. Its not that it didn't fit great, it did, but all the pink in the coat and bustier made it look a little too girlish. Taking off the coat made it better, but it was still slightly distracting. An all white piece like this would probably work much better, but when I showed a photo of this one to my wife, she didn't fall in love with it either. She enjoyed it better in black, so maybe so likes to be a little more "bad" than she would like to admit.



Sizing
Sizing was spot on for this item for my wife. She measures a 34" bust, a 28" waist, and a 38" hip. She is 5'9", and weighs about 130 lbs right now, and wears typically a 4/6, and a small to medium depending on the company. According to the size chart for Escante, the medium should fit someone who is a size 6-10, 34-36" bust, a 28-30" waist, a 32-34" hip, and weighs 120-140 lbs. Besides the hip, my wife fits these measurements perfectly. The bustier measures 12 inches across the cups, 14 inches across the bottom, and 15 inches from the top of the cup to the top of the front garter.

Cleaning
With the boning in the bustier, throwing this in the wash would definitely ruin in. I would only recommend hand washing it with warm water and a small amount of soap, and then placing it flat to dry. The thong could probably be thrown in the wash on a delicate cycle and come out alright, but I would probably hand wash the jacket as well, if it required cleaning.

Overall, this set is a disappointment, but there are many positives to the set. It is well made, includes a lot of pieces at a decent price, and fits perfectly. But the main feature of any lingerie is how it looks on the person, and in this feature, it disappoints both my wife and myself. Since we got this item quite a while ago, she only worn it the one time, and it hasn't even come close to coming back out again.

I believe I received this item last December, so it has been close to a year now. It took me quite a few months to review it, since I was seeing if my wife would want to wear it again. But she didn't. And since my review was published in September, she still hasn't worn it again. All the major details about the item were perfect, except for one. And that one, the colors, really ruin the piece for us. Maybe it can somehow be recycled or re-purposed for a costume or something, but this most likely (99% sure) won't be coming back out into the bedroom again.
