From the get go, it’s easy to see that this set is a bit silly, and not to be taken overly seriously. Unfortunately, it looks like the designers didn’t take it very seriously either. Despite its frilly, fun nature, it is actually fairly flimsy. We had a good time with it, but we don’t expect it to last much longer.

The very first thing that we noticed was that the feathers were shedding. There are already large gaps in between rows of feathers, and losing feathers does not help. Additionally, the stitching that attaches the feathers to the polyester is minimal. There are 2-3 inch gaps between each half inch row of stitching. As such, the feather rows are not well attached, and give a lot of play. If you attempt to machine wash this set, you will most likely end up with a pile of feathers and a strip of polyester. We chose to hand wash it, and it still feels as though it will fall apart.

The top ties together with ribbon, and is meant to drape over the chest. We found that the sizing ran very small. Be sure to order a size up if you’re anywhere near the border of two sizes. My partner found that it did not reach well around, and we needed to tie farther down on the ribbon to get it to fit well, leaving a gap in the middle of the chest.

The panties are the highlight of the set. They are done in a polka dot pattern with lacey frills around the top rim and along the back. The material is sheer, but not too thin as to be flimsy. It has two loops, to attach the garter straps. The straps themselves are cheaply made and do not feel like they will last very long. The part that attached to the leggings(not included) is made of soft plastic that is very bendable. We felt comfortable throwing the panties in the washing machine as the tag suggests, and they came out well.

Overall, it’s a cute set, but its cheap composition makes it hard to justify the price. Out of the entire set, we will probably only keep the panties for a long period of time. The shrug is simply too flimsy to last very long. It had a lot going for it, but I can’t say that I can recommend the purchase. If you’re buying It for a short period, or a few uses, it will be fine though.
