Mesh merry widow and g-string set – camisole set by Rene Rofe is an inexpensive piece of lingerie that lacks support, underwires, or any shape to it. It is a piece that states it is able to fit most people. With spandex and nylon being the materials it is made from, this is a true statement. It is made of 92% nylon and 8% spandex. The sizing chart for Rene Rofe is: One Size fits 6-12, Busts- (inches)-36-40 1/2, Waist- (inches)-27 1/2- 31 1/22, Hips (inches)- 38 1/2 - 43 1/2.







Beginning at the top with the straps, there is ample room to fit most people. The straps are adjustable and will go from 9 inches to 16 inches unstretched and up to 31 inches when stretched out. The straps are spaghetti type, thin and allowing for no support.

The front of the camisole is black mesh with a small back bow centered at the top. The bow doesn't lay right, it wants to turn inward instead of laying flat. From the bow to the bottom of the camisole is 14 inches, including the two inches of ruffles. There are 5 thin mesh like stripes that run from top to bottom.





From the beginning of the straps to the end of the ruffles there is 18 inches of black mesh. From the side seams to the 1st line there is 2 inches of mesh, from the 1st to the 2nd, there is another 2 inches of mesh. From the 2nd line to the middle line is 2 1/2 inches. The stripes are about 1/4 inch wide.



The ruffle is 2 inches long and appears to be sewn to the body of the camisole well. The ruffles do lay correctly when the camisole is on. There are no puckers or uncomfortable areas. Attached to the back of the ruffle are 4 garters.

The garters are removable and tend to remove themselves whether you want to take them off or not. The are adjustable and go from 4 1/2 inches to 7 1/2 inches long. There is a piece of black ribbon that cover the hooks on both the front and back. The hooks do seem to work well, holding hose in place without problems.

There are 2 straps that tie in the back. Each strap is 18 inches long and can be stretched to 32 inches long.



The G String is the typical g string. At the widest part, there is 5 inches of mesh with a small area of cotton in the crotch area. The g-string is not adjustable but can fit hip sizes 23 inches to 41 inches.



The piece was made in Vietnam and care instructions are to hand wash and line dry. Bleach should not be used and no ironing is required. Dry cleaning should also be avoided, although I don't know why you would even consider that option.

The best part of this camisole is that it is comfortable. The camisole is movable and breathable. That is the main reason it got three stars. It can't be worn under clothes due to the ruffle. If it didn't have the ruffles, it would be awesome to wear under other shirts.

When I first put the camisole on, I was pretty disappointed. While the picture on the model was cute, the camisole in person was far from it. In fact, it didn't have any shape to it and the garters kept falling off before I could get the next one hooked. While the camisole is comfortable, it is not sexy and doesn't provide any support.

I've tried to like this outfit but it's just not happening. The lack of any support anywhere and the unflattering appearance of it just can't overcome my desire to like it more. It is seeing more of the closet than of me and will probably continue to do so. It's not going to be my go to outfit when I want a fun night!
