10x power bullet slim - bullet discontinued by Doc Johnson - review by minxx

I love the concept of micro bullets, and the 10x power bullet is no exception! It takes two AAA batteries, but don't let that fool you; it's called a "10x power bullet" for a reason! Just like its Gold and Platinum coated counterparts (The Extreme Pure Gold/Platinum Micro Bullet) it has 10 different speeds and pulse patterns, so you can adjust the vibrations to suit your mood. Its small size also makes it easy to really pinpoint where you want the vibrations, not only with clitoral stimulation, but also all over body stimulation and, my personal favorite, for added stimulation during intercourse. You can even pair it up with your favorite dildo or vibrator for solo play! For those of you out there that are in the roommate/housemate living situation, this guy is quiet enough for risk-free play! The only thing you CANNOT do with this toy is anal or vaginal stimulation. If you are careful, you can use it to stimulate AROUND the anus or vagina, but NEVER insert it. This little guy is way too easy to lose, and to pull on the cord could cause it to break away from the bullet and make for quite an embarrassing trip to the ER!

This little bullet is made out of 100% plastic, which rates an 8 out of 10 on the EdenFantasys safety chart, thanks to it being food grade material, latex free, phthalate free, hypo-allergenic and non-porous. It has a nice, smooth feel to it. However, the creases in both the control pack and the bullet itself are pretty prominent, but this should not interfere with play time. It did have a slight plastic odor to it upon pulling out of the box, but this faded after a few minutes of being out in open air.

I love the design of this little bullet! It comes in two cute colors - pink and purple, with a matte gloss shine. The LED light at the top blinks to match the vibration pattern of whichever setting you are using, and also fades a bit when batteries are low (I don't think that was intended it the original design, but it's worth noting).



The Ergonomic design of the controller makes it easy to hold, and the tiny size of the bullet opens all kinds of doors for pleasure!



The bullet itself is really only a half inch bigger than your standard fish oil vitamin, measuring at a little less than an inch and a half.




The control pack is about 3 inches long.





You can use this bullet for the traditional pinpoint clitoral stimulation with a twist - if you place it just right, it's hands free! This makes it easy to use it while having intercourse with a partner without it being too bulky and getting in the way, and frees up your hands for holding and caressing your partner.

The toy is very easy to hide, since it's so compact, but not discreet enough to just leave out without someone knowing exactly what it is.

I have 2 main concerns, however. First, the cord is very short, measuring at about 23 inches, and can make it difficult to use without moving the bullet (if using it the hands-free way). I basically had to place the control on my chest when using it during intercourse.



Second, the creases in both the control and the bullet are a bit of a concern when looking at the waterproof aspect. It may not leak to where the batteries are exactly located, but it will leak into where the motor is in the bullet itself.

The controls are pretty simple - an on/off button for... well, turning it on and off... and a "10" button to change the speed/pattern. Here's the best way I could describe each pattern:

5. pulsations
6. fast pulsation
7. escalation, 4 pulsations
8. pulsation, fast pulsation, sputter, pause, sputter

The best pattern to really build up to a maximum orgasm (at least for me) was the very last one. It gets up so close, and then suddenly drops down to a light, slow pulsation and repeats the process (my fiance calls it the "torture pattern").

As I mentioned before, it is very quiet, only about 2 bees, so it is safe for roommate and housemate situations. I can imagine it being safe even if they are in the same room if you like the risk, as long as they are asleep. It's barely heard from under the covers, and completely silent from another room.

As for the waterproof feature... I would not recommend using it in the tub, or in any way that would have the toy submerged, due to the creases in the controller as well as the bullet itself. However, use in the shower IS safe, since I tested that out myself without having a problem.

Now, what about battery life? The batteries seem to last quite a long time; I'm still on my first set, and it has been 3 weeks. I'll be able to answer that better in my follow-up.

Care is pretty simple, just use antibacterial soap and warm water, or your favorite toy cleaner. Pay close attention to the crease in the bullet and clean thoroughly to ensure that bacteria will not grow in there. As for storage, you can easily put it in your sock drawer or toy bag.
