The purpose of this vibrator is a bit confusing to me. The stimulation it delivers is actually much stronger than the vibrator itself. So what you have is a vibrator that is small enough for a beginner, but so stimulating that you have to be a porn star or half numb to be able to handle it. So as best I can figure out, it is made for either a veteran masturbator on the go, or a virgin who happens to operate chainsaws for a living. I realize this is very little to complain about, but I would not recommend this to someone who is sensitive to vibration or ribbing.

The vibrator is advertised as flexible but I would give it a 6 out of 10 for bendiness. After some warming up, it will become a little more pliable but if you are in the market for a soft bendy vibrator I am going to have to disagree with the other reviews. The texture of the jelly is slippery and because of its small stature, if properly lubricated, it can be comfortably inserted into most any hole. And, because of the swirls, if insertion becomes difficult it can always be screwed in like a light bulb! While we are on the subject of the swirls, these are no low profile, half-hearted veins you find on some other vibrators. The profile picture does a great job of showing the relief of the spiraling rib that contours the entire shaft. And as I said before the material is not very soft so this makes the swirl even tougher and more stimulating.

The design of the Climax Gems Swirl is pretty standard and not unlike any other $20 vibrator I've ever seen. It has a dial-base and runs on 2 AAA batteries. The jelly is firm and relatively odorless. The shape is definitely where it deviates from the herd of reasonably priced buzzers. The tip is perfectly pointed and slippery for easy insertion. The rib is high and hard which makes it great for sliding against your clit. It creates quite a strong strumming sensation whether its in or out.

The dial base is not as tight as it could be which means it makes a bad handle, which ultimately means that the insertable length has been reduced by about 3/4 of an inch because you have to hang on to it somehow. Also the dial-base doesn't have a lot of variability in speed, which I feel is the products biggest flaw. The contour is aggressive and the motor which is mounted in the tip is very strong. So when you start using it, it is already very stimulating, and it only gets more powerful. I have found it very difficult to start off with, the vibrations and the spiral are just too intense.

The jelly is made of PVC which is not able to be sterilized, so I would highly recommend buying a good toy cleaner. Because it is waterproof there are no worries with throwing it in the sink and giving it a good scrub with an antibacterial soap. I would also not recommend using this toy anally because of its inability to be thoroughly sterilized and its reluctance to fit in a condom.

The toy comes in a small, discreet, easy to open plastic blister pack. No scissors required, it just pops open and can be thrown away in the bottom of your kitchen trash can.
