Stubby nubby G by Cal Exotics - review by Darkness Withinus

The stubby nubby G is a rather interesting looking toy. The shaft looks like any other g-spot vibrator, in that it’s several inches long and curved at the tip. This, however, is where most of the similarities end. The base of this toy is flared looking at it when I first pulled it from the packaging made me wonder if this flared base would actually live up to the intended function. The vibrations themselves are caused by an egg about an inch or so from the bend in the shaft. There is a little wiggle room for “adjustments”, but from what I have noticed there is no difference in the feeling.

The toy itself has three speeds but I couldn’t really tell the first two apart, so it really seemed like it had two speeds. The vibration function is controlled by a push button on the back of the toy; one click for low, two for medium, and three for high. To turn it off you simply click the button a fourth time. I would have to place the Stubby Nubby G at the low middle of my vibrator experience for vibration level. The toy is water proof so it can be used both wet and dry, for bath tub fun as well.

Before we get into a functional review let’s take a second and review proper toy care for this type of material. The stubby nubby G is made of TPE which is a fairly porous material; so if you plan on sharing your toys, like happens in some cases, a condom is recommended. Also because of the nature of the material, you can’t boil or use other sterilizers on this toy; so keep the cleaning to a mild soap and warm water. TPE is a type of rubber so water and silicone based lubricants work with this toy.

Ok now back to the fun stuff. The first time I used this toy, I noticed some very interesting things about it (these of course all come from the user not being the receiver of the stimulation). Firstly, the curve at the tip is rather nice. I found that just allowing that curve to rest against the natural curve of your partner’s pelvis, can create a decent amount of sensation for them. Second, is for at least this particular partner, the base was a little far out when the toy was positioned in the correct spot for her. This could be remedied by using the flex of the material, to bend the base into the right position while it was inside. This toy has seen another case where it could fit comfortably inside the receiver, and have the base resting properly against the clitoral area. The success of this function really depends on the user.

Now for a little bit of bad news, I guess. The downsides I noticed with this toy were that the speed control/on switch is in a rather precarious place. There have been a couple of times when, while using this toy, I have reached down to press it into my partner a little further and turned it off instead. This can be a little bit of a mood killer. Also once again there is a possibility that the base won’t be effective in stimulating the clitoris while the shaft is inside you; but this is more of a loss of an additional and potentially exciting function, than it is a downside of the toy itself. Once again this might be changed by varying the angle slightly after insertion.

All in all I have to say that this piece is effective and useful to have in your toy box, and I think I will get more use out of it in the future.

The Stubby nubby G has become a staple toy in my toy box. It has proven that it is worth owning. I have used it often and the original batteries that I started with are still going this makes it one of the longer lived sets of batteries as far as toys in my collection go. The added battery life makes is a huge plus and makes the toy that much better in the long run. I have had plenty of toys that will chew through batteries in a handful of days or uses and this simply isn’t the case here. The small problems I had with design can be overcome and don’t pose any serious problems when playing with this toy. All in all a great product and I would recommend it to anyone that wanted a good long term toy.
