A Mouse with a lot of move!

The Mantric Mouse is a great, basic toy for beginners that is travel friendly and good when you need a quick one. The construction is really good for such a basic toy with the vibrator being detachable from the control pack. The step-up system of vibration control can be self defeating, though, when you need just a little more oomph, but any more can defeat your O. A nice vibe, but not a favorite.

Use

Ah, the Matric Mouse...this cute little vibe is a classic large bullet vibe. It is small, discreet, and easily hidden, which is awesome for someone without a lot of space. It's functions are very basic, as is this toy. It is, in short, a typical, bullet vibe without bells or whistles. It's something quick and strong for a quick orgasm when you need it. It is up there with the pocket rocket: old reliable. Excellent for both the experienced and the beginners.

The Mouse's use is fairly limited as a bullet vibe, as it is not a toy you really insert. The bullet is kind of small with a seam running around the middle of it that could easily collect bodily fluids, lube, and other such fluids. It's certainly not for the shower because of the remote control pack. It is NOT for internal anal stimulation. It is for spot stimulation, mostly for the clit, nipples, and maybe external anal stimulation. The toy is basic, but there is a certain glory in that.

Material / Texture

The bullet itself is made with a velvety plastic. I was surprised as how soft the plastic was, thinking maybe they had covered the bullet with a thin layer of silicone, but no, it's all plastic. I regarded this little plastic toy warily, as plastic toys and my vertical hood piercing don't exactly get along. The two combined produced a loud, annoying rattling sound, and is uncomfortable at best. The velvety texture actually helped with that, and it felt like it absorbed some of the shock of the vibrations, but not so much that it detracted from them. My only qualm with this little guy is once it gets lubed up, it will shake right out of your fingers!

Design / Shape / Size

The first thing I was impressed with regarding this toy is the cord. In many bullet vibes with a remote control, the wiring is cheap at best. The ends are rarely supported and they sometimes snap where the wire meets the vibe. Not so with the Matric Mouse! The wire is supported at the base of the bullet with a bendy soft plastic support. The other impressive thing about this vibe is that the bullet can completely disconnect from the remote, with the jack being somewhat like a 3.5mm audio jack. It makes for good storage, so as not to put strain on the cord. Very nice feature!

The bullet itself is about two inches long, and it is this portion of the toy that is covered in the velvety plastic. It's a good design but watch out once you get it wet or lubed! In my trials (*ahem*) if my fingers, or the vibe, were lube-y, it would shake right out of my fingers, which can be frustrating when you are thisclose to an orgasm.

The remote control is pretty simple as well, with an off-low-medium-high vibration settings. The slider control for the vibrations is well raised and is easy to handle. The vibe itself, when balled up, is very small and could easily be hidden. It could be used for travel, though the controls do not lock, so one runs the chance of the vibrator turning on while traveling.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The vibe works on an escalating step control. The default is (naturally) off, and it goes three levels higher from there. I was actually very surprised at the strength of the vibrations in this modest bullet. When I received the Matric Mouse, I only had half-dead AA batteries in my camera lying around, so I popped those in and turned the vibe on. It sprung to life with decently strong vibrations, even on half dead camera batteries. When I got more batteries later, the vibrations made me raise my eyebrows. They were quite strong, and I knew this would be a very enjoyable review (*ahem*) process.

The vibrator is fairly easy to control, with the controls being so straight forward. It's something easy to control, which is great when you are so close to coming you can barely think straight. The bullet is quiet, but not as silent as I've seen other bullet vibes to be. It's not so friendly for a dorm room with your roomie sleeping five feet away, as it is just loud enough where she might wake up, complain, and totally kill your O.

The only thing I wasn't a huge fan of is the escalating control. It's not so great when you need only a touch more vibrations to push you over, but any more than that could drive it away. The jump from one level to the next is fairly dramatic, and while that may be nice for some, the aforementioned scenario was pretty regular for me, which actually made orgasming a little difficult, even with the strength of this bullet being considered.

Care and Maintenance

The bullet on this vibe is honestly the only thing that needs cleaned. A damp wash cloth is plenty, maybe a little mild soap, though care should be taken to avoid the cord. The seam should have a little extra attention given to it so that it does not collect lube and bodily fluids, and collect a big mess. Storage is just as simple, as you can just toss it in your toybox, though disconnecting the vibe from the control is recommended so as not to put strain on the cord.

Packaging

When the vibe came to me, it was in plastic clamshell packaging, and my first thought was "Wow, this is a cheap vibe." It was hardly something I'd give as a gift because it...well...looked cheap. It was easy to open, which is a plus, and it was decently packaged, with all parts neatly enclosed in plastic and twisty-ties. There were some instructions on the back, but nothing extensive. The bullet comes with a six-month warranty, however! A nice touch.

Personal comments

I like this vibe, but I don't love it. The step-up controls can be a little too less or a little too much, and actually made orgasming a little hard. The one things I do like about this vibe is it's travel-friendly, and it is something I would throw in the bottom of an overnight bag on a visit to my parents. It's small, discreet, and quiet enough.

By escalating controls do you mean just that it's preset and you have no choice over the setting? The way you phrased it is kind of confusing for me.
  • Contributor: Sexy Lexi
Adriana: No, you have control over the settings, they just go up in steps with a large difference in speed.
