I am a big fan of the Naughty Rose, which the Dual Rose (DR) is based on, but I have to admit it does feel good to have some "inside action" as well, so this toy definitely intrigued me. The DR arrived in typical fashion - an unassuming white envelope with a box inside. The DR was nicely packaged in it's own plastic container, nestled inside the box with a charging cord and instructions (does anyone actually read these?).

On first inspection, the DR seems well-made and both the rose end and the dildo end are attached nicely. I found the cord that attached the two to be a perfect length - not too long to be cumbersome, but too short to make positioning difficult. Both the dildo end and the rose itself are soft, silicone coated, and slightly flexible. The charging port was easy to identify at the base of the rose. This is a magnetically charged toy, making it nice and waterproof and easy to charge with any USB charger.



I was wondering how large the dildo end would be, given that it sometimes difficult to tell from the pictures. I didn't want anything too large, which would take away from the effects of the rose, and was happily surprised to find it was slightly shorter and more slender than even a small jelly dildo. Think of a larger bullet.



The dildo is slightly textured - not enough to really feel but the attention to detail is nice! The tip vibrates and thrusts. Let me take a minute to talk about thrusting toys.... I've had a few and most are loud, and are meant to thrust fully, deeply. This toy is not like that; you position it as shallow or deeply as you like and the thrusting action goes....well maybe a little less than an inch. Just enough to give you just the depth you want, but not too much to be intimidating or uncomfortable. Also, both the rose end and the dildo end are quiet, even at the higher settings.



There are two buttons on the rose. The bottom button turns the DR on (yes, both ends). Just press it and you'll see a pleasant, soft blue glow. To cycle through the various vibrations and thrusting patterns of the dildo, push the bottom button sequentially. The top button controls the air pulsation patterns and strengths of the rose.



The blue glow of the buttons is a nice touch. It's not too bright, but can definitely add some mood lighting under the sheets! I also noticed the glow can be seen through the hole in the rose. Once again, not really necessary...but a nice touch from the design team.

I figured to start out I'd use the rose end alone. If you've ever used the Naughty Rose, this is quite similar, and therefore felt like I was starting out slow. The rose doesn't really vibrate but the air pulsations sure make it feel like it does. When it gets on just the right spot, you can't really feel anything on the outside of the toy....but inside you sure can!

After a few minutes of warming up, I felt a little more adventurous and moved on to try the dildo end. Being smaller and smooth, this slides right inside without any discomfort. If you've already warmed up with the rose end, you probably won't even need any lube. I positioned it just inside and began cycling through the vibration/thrusting patterns. I was happily surprised to find out this toy, although strong and eager, feels more subtle...just small thrusts that stimulate nicely. The size of the toy allows for some definite pressure and something to squeeze around, without that "stretch" that some toys give you. The vibrations were strong and the thrusting was quite nice. Other than holding the rose on my clit, this was pretty much a hands-free orgasm waiting to happen!
