Stormy's Precious Bullet by California Exotics offers a variable-speed, N-cell powered option for replacing single-speed bullet vibrators or for hand-held use. The rotating on-off and speed-selection switch is easy to use, and the vibrator is waterproof to allow for a wide-range of play. The lack of a stop and small size mean that this vibe is not suited to penetrative use, especially not anal penetration, but it works well in toys or as a clitoral or vulval vibrator.

Stormy's Precious Bullet is made out of a lightweight plastic with a smooth, metalized finish. Other than a bit of wrinkling at the tip, the vibrator has no texturing or noticeable ridges until the O-ring that seals the battery compartment.

Coming in a good half-inch longer than the bullets that shipped with my Tango and Nexus Maximus, Stormy's Precious Bullet may be difficult to use in some toys as it might project beyond the base and either poke or interfere with the toy sitting down on an object. The added length probably won't be an issue in most cases, though, and it certainly can make it easier to grab the bullet for speed adjustment or removal.

Unlike most bullet vibes, Stormy's Precious Bullet offers a flat area at the control knob that allows you to set it down without worrying about it rolling away.

Most bullet vibes have a textured surface, which (paradoxically) helps them to slide in and out of toy's bullet pockets by helping to break the suction. Stormy's Precious Bullet has a smooth surface. When used alone, the smooth surface allows Stormy's Precious Bullet to glide over the body very easily, but be sure to lubricate this bullet if you're going to use it in a toy, otherwise it can be very difficult to remove. Fortunately, the extended control knob provides a good place to grab it.

If you're worried about getting a discreet toy, Stormy's Precious Bullet is pretty easy to hide. It's small (always good), and even though it's shiny it can be stored alongside a mix of items without being too noticeable. I stashed it in plain sight with some pencils and scissors for about a week, and my wife never asked me about the new vibe I got.

The vibrations spread consistently across the front end of Stormy's Precious Vibe, carrying back to the control knob with only a slight reduction. The N/LR1 size battery should provide longer life than the button cells used in many other bullets, but the reduced voltage (1.5V vs. 4.5V for a 3-button-cell vibe) does tend to produce slower, slightly less powerful vibrations.

The knob provides easy and intuitive selection of the speed/power of vibrations. The knob-style control is easy to figure out, but can be difficult to adjust at times if everything is slick with lube.

At one point the lower speeds stopped functioning, leaving me with "off" and "high", but removing and reinstalling the battery fixed that.

Stormy's Precious Vibe is noticeably less noisy then other tested bullets, even at the high speed setting. It's unlikely that it would produce a suspicious level of noise if the door is closed.

Stormy's Precious Bullet is pretty easy to care for. It's made of hard plastic, and sealed at the control knob and battery compartment with O-rings so it can be fully immersed. Cleanup is easy with either soap and water or a sex toy cleaner, but it's best to avoid harsh solvents. I was unable to figure out exactly what type of plastic Stormy's Bullet was made from, so it's probably best to not attempt to soak it in bleach, and since it's a vibrator boiling and dishwashers are out. A dunk or light spray of 10% bleach every once and a while, rinsed off after a minute or so, would probably be OK but you might damage the finish. For general use, it's best to use a condom or keep this toy in your private stash.
