A wand, by any other name

The Mini Miracle is a very powerful little wand, for all that it runs on 2 AA batteries. It may not be able to measure up to full-sized wands, but it is smaller, more portable, and it's definitely quieter. It's also waterproof, letting you take your little powerhouse with you for some shower fun!

Use

The Mini-Miracle is a small, compact wand-style vibrator. What's cool about it? First of all, it runs on a pair of AA batteries instead of tethering you to a wall. Second, it's still ridiculously strong. On top of that, it's also waterproof! For months I've been dreaming of a toy as powerful as my massage wand that I could safely bring into the shower. Those dreams have been answered. This powerful toy can reach any external erogenous zone you desire, with its long handle and flexible neck. Those who need pressure as well as vibrations to orgasm will find it difficult to apply this pressure because the neck is so flexible, though the head can be held if necessary. Because it is waterproof, the head of the Mini Miracle can be inserted vaginally, but I wouldn't trust is anally with or without a condom.

Material / Texture

The PVC head of the Mini Miracle is soft, but not yielding. Its subtle texture and the material give it a lovely drag across the skin for those who like friction. The handle is made of a simple, white plastic. It's not hard to hold, as long as you don't drench the entire toy with lube. The toy had the faintest of odors when removed from the packaging, but it faded within an hour of being removed from the packaging.

Design / Shape / Size

The design is simple: a head shaped like a large bullet or egg with a soft covering, a covered flexible neck, and a slightly tapered plastic body. The vibrations are concentrated in the very tip of the head, which isn't really small enough for true pin-point stimulation. The neck is very flexible, almost too much so. When used externally, this prevents bringing much pressure to bear, but it makes g-spot stimulation much easier. Internally and externally, it was amazing. The intense vibrations aren't as deep as a full-sized massage wand would be, but are still strong enough to satisfy. In terms of overall power, it's a bit of a step down from the Ideal massager, which is said to be a bit of a step down from the Hitachi. It would be a good toy for someone who doesn't need the incredible power of a Hitachi, or needs a great deal of power in a smaller, portable package.

One of the great features of this wand is its small size. It's easy to hide and to travel with because it's small enough to tuck into the bottom of a purse. If the Cal Exotics logo wasn't emblazoned across the handle, it might be safe to leave it out because the design doesn't scream "sex toy!"; if anything, it murmurs "muscle massager".

Functions / Performance / Controls

The strength of the vibrations is controlled by a twist dial on the base of the handle. The cap to the battery compartment twists onto the base, and on the cap the dial twists in the same direction. While this makes for a very streamlined handle, it doesn't lend itself to one-handed operation. Also, because the cap and dial twist in the same direction, it's prone to turning on while you screw on the cap.

The dial provides a continuous range of solid vibrations ranging from cell-phone vibration level to a notch below the strength of a full-sized massage wand. The continuous array allows for a great deal more variation than a number of set levels would. There are unfortunately no patterns of vibration.

As a strong little powerhouse, this really does perform. It's very strong, but unfortunately a little numbing. Luckily for me, the power always gets me off before numbing becomes a problem. The vibrations are centered in the very tip of the head, but transmit well throughout the head, and a bit into the handle. This isn't a quiet toy, but it won't be heard through a door even without the cover of loud music or TV. It will however echo through a bathroom, so those who share bathrooms should be aware that the water noise won't cover the noise of the Mini Miracle.

Speaking of water, we come to one of my favorite aspects of this toy. It's waterproof! Not only is it powerful, but it's waterproof! That means it's safe to take it in the shower, cover it in lube, squirt all over it, and then submerge it in water while you're cleaning it. This is easily the strongest waterproof toy I own.

Care and Maintenance

Because the Mini Miracle is waterproof, clean-up is a snap. Soap and water does the trick, as will toy sprays and wipes. Be careful about cleaning the grooves in the neck, though, as they tend to collect gunk. Both PVC and plastic are safe for use with all lubes, and they play nicely when stored with other toys.

Packaging

The packaging was very basic, simple plastic packaging. Nothing fancy, but nothing gaudy or tacky either. It wasn't something you could use to store your wand in, so luckily it was all recyclable. The only instructions were a slip of paper in the battery compartment that indicate which direction to insert the batteries, and "Low --> High" was engraved on the dial.

Personal comments

While the Mini Miracle is wonderful, its attachments aren't all the most well-thought-out. They tend to transmit the vibrations poorly, and are rather small. As a vibrator, the Mini Miracle performs well, but don't get it for the attachments.
