The First Tingle Soft Sensations is an intense rabbit vibe which isn't too large, isn't too small but is just right. Unlike a lot of rabbit vibes, which are too large for beginners, the First Tingle is small enough to be comfortable; but remember, it's textured so it's not for the faint of heart. Used vaginally or on the clit, this vibe is sure to please with it's soft touch and powerful vibes. When used vaginally it is possible to obtain G spot stimulation, or at least it was for me. Because this is really not a G spot toy, don't get it if you just want G spot stimulation. It's just a possible perk depending on your anatomy. The only real downfall of this toy is that it is not waterproof. No shower or tub play here.

This is one of the aspects of the toy I really adore. The First Tingle is made of soft, scented jelly. Smelling somewhere in between incense and flowers, the scent is strong enough to be pleasant but light enough not to be overbearing. Because of the scent the toy is not all that tasty. When I put it in my mouth I was instantly hit with a burst of the floral scent which did not go away. On top of that, the jelly is a little bitter. Really not something I want to spend my time sucking on. Also, the jelly is a little sticky but surprisingly isn't a lint magnet. Even so, you'll find yourself applying a lot of lube with this little baby as it does provide friction when not lubed up.

The head of the vibe is covered in nubs, making it look like a large raspberry. There are around 100 little squeezable nubs which are soft enough to be comfortable but firm enough to keep their shape. The shaft is ribbed with 13 soft ribs. Perhaps the unlucky number is why I gave it its odd title? Read on to find out. Finally, the entire shaft is very squishy with a firm base at its core so insertion should never be a problem.

Lets get into measurements for a second. The entire unit is 8 inches long with about 4 of those inches being insertable length. Women who like a lot of length will need to look elsewhere. Circumference is 4 inches at the head and 4 1/2 inches on the shaft. Plenty of girth to satisfy most women. The clit stimulator measures 2 1/2 inches long, an inch high, and 3 inches around. For me, it reaches my clit perfectly although at times, it proved to be a little too high up. Four little feelers protrude out of the end which hug every inch of the clit and tickle it until you just have to let go and climax. For ladies who do not like toys with animals, this is a gem. The clit portion of the vibe is simply four feelers and nothing more. No eyes, no mouth, nothing that has anything to do with animals. After all, how many animals are there who have four feelers on the top of their heads?

Now for the most important part of any rabbit vibe: the functions. The vibe has six speeds: extremely low, low, medium low, medium, medium high, and high. The head of the shaft, the middle of the shaft, and clit stimulator vibrate. The strongest vibrations are located on the clit stimulator which is really where a lot of women want them. While the vibrations on the highest setting are powerful they are quite enough that, if used from behind a closed door, people won't be the wiser. This is great for people with roommates. The head of the shaft also rotates at six speeds, again: extremely low, low, medium low, medium, medium high, and high. The rotations are not extremely large but they are large enough to massage the entire vagina and provide some pressure to the g spot. When vibes and rotations are used together there is a tremendous decrease in power. I simply did not use them together.

The First Tingle uses four AAA batteries which are placed in a removable compartment. Simply slide the back of the base off the unit, remove the white battery compartment, slip in the batteries, and place back in the unit. Once in, the controls are simple. Two vertical sliders control the speed of vibration and rotation. Flip up to turn the unit on and for higher and flip down to turn the unit off and for lower speeds. A push button in the middle changes the direction of rotation and turns the rotation back on if it gets a little sleepy. If too much pressure is applied to the shaft, the rotation feature shuts off. My only complaint with the controls is that they are too easy to accidentally push or slide. I was always changing the speed and direction of rotation without meaning to do so.

Because the toy is jelly you need to wash it with either warm water and mild soap or toy cleaner before and after every use. Never get the battery compartment, wet as this toy is not waterproof. Use only water or silicone lubes with this toy, never oil. If you plan on sharing, always cover with a condom. Store the toy away from other jelly and silicone toys in a cool dark place. The toy will not attract lint so it is fine to just stuff it in a sock drawer.

The toy arrived in a clear clam shell case with a paper insert. The insert claims that the toy is five and a half inches long. That is not insertable length. It also states that this is a mini vibe. I guess it really is since it isn't as large as most rabbit vibes. The back of the insert details the soft ribs, nubs,and feelers. You could use the case for storage. It would be difficult to gift wrap.

Now, why did I call this toy the battery buster? I really think it has something to do with the unlucky 13 ribs! No, just kidding. When I went to insert the batteries I noticed that they were really snug. I turned the unit on and began playing. A few minutes later the unit turned off and I heard a pop and a fizzing sound. Annoyed, I opened the battery compartment up and found that one of the batteries had exploded and was leaching battery acid everywhere! I was careful not to touch it, threw the battery away and cleaned the entire compartment. Then, praying the unit would still work, turned it on. It worked! I finished my play session a little unnerved but happy. The vibe hit my g spot and clit just right sending me over the edge when I turned it on high.
