Bombs Away

With a unique design that offers thick rib after rib there is plenty of ammunition to deploy. Complemented by a bulbous head and a variety of vibrations the only complaint with this toy is the disposable batteries it requires.

The Vaginal Bomb does leaves a mark in the saturated vibrator landscape. Though not revolutionary, it combines a number of qualities which does make it a contender. Aside from the name the next most striking thing is its visual appearance. A bulbous and slightly upwardly curved head provides substantially better attention to the G spot than a traditional straight shaped dildo. Followed by plump foreward leaning ribs which are prominent enough to be a great sensory follow up behind the head, as they rake through the vaginal lips and over the G spot. The design and shaping of this vibrator is its key feature and uniquely defining quality. So if the shape doesn't look like fun than I would suggest a different toy. My girlfriend has not used any toy with such a unique shape and really enjoyed the added dimension of the ribs which she felt created a throbbing like sensation when moved in and out versus a more usual tactile pressure of being filled and emptied by straighter shape. At 5.5" insertable depth it is ample without being extreme. And despite its voluptuous styling it is still only 1.5" wide and can be enjoyed by most anyone.

The body of the toy is made out of silicone. Good for being body friendly, odorless, and sterilizable. Its texture and density is somewhat similar to Fun Factory silicone; on the firm side of medium but still retaining a certain plushness. The texture of the silicone is a velvety brushed finished. The color is a dusty purple which is fun and whimsical without being boring.
The handle is a bit on the small side, but doesn't detract from the overall performance. The package says it is water proof but we don't submerge the toy in water when cleaning it.

The vibrations are the standard cycle of vibes Escalating, Pulsating, Rollercoaster and Vibrating. They have just over a medium amount of oomph but this is complemented by a relatively dampened sound. I wouldn't say its noise level is stealth, but it would be unnoticed with some other background noise, for instance a tv or stereo at low volume. In comparison to my girlfriends long time primary vibrator the Lelo Iris she says favors the Vaginal Bombs plush ribs and thick head for attentively pleasing her G spot, where as with the very firm and more modestly curved Iris she relies on the strength of the vibrations alone to do this. The Iris has much stronger Vibrations and more variety in rhythms. But is also much noisier than the bomb. So in the end its a toss up and she enjoys both for variety and mood of desire. Which means the Bomb is a success, since it can contend with the veteran bedside mate.
Though she does loathe that it takes batteries instead of being rechargable.. like her Iris. For which she drops her approval from 4 stars to 3.
Follow-up commentary
This was a good basic vibrator with an interesting design. It kept on kicking and we eventually gifted it to a friend, and it made it all the way to Antarctica. Bon Voyage!
