C1 Curve Vibrator

Pleasure technologies may need an upgrade on their technology. The C1 Curve works well as a dildo, but as a vibrator it falls short. While it’s made of great hygienic materials, the weak vibrations and the loudness of the toy is just a disappointment.

Use

The C1 Curve by Pleasure Technologies is a silicone G-spot curved vibrator that is fully waterproof. It is very smooth all over except for some light texture that runs up the back of it. This toy is also very long and great for deep penetration; rocking and thrusting are both enjoyable with the C1.

Its controls feature a one button design to circle through its six vibration levels and patterns. There is also a great design feature to it that you have a bit of a handle to hold onto that fits perfectly between the fingers and allows for a good grip on the toy. It’s light and easy on the wrist while also being a sizable vibrator.

This is easy to use, and made of great safe materials, definitely a great option for anyone interested in getting to know their g-spot. I wouldn’t fully recommend this for anal play as there is no real ridge to stop the toy from getting lost in your bum- but the overall length and handle of this toy does seem safe if you would like to try, just make sure you have a good firm grip on it, and don’t let go.

I flame tested this one just to be sure, as I am not familiar with this company. All you have to do to flame test is use a match, not a lighter and hold it up to the material of your toy for a few seconds. If it’s silicone the material will be undamaged, if it’s anything less it will melt or burn and probably create a bad smell. I tested the C1 and it does indeed pass the flame test. The silicone was completely undamaged and unblemished. So this toy is definitely made of 100% silicone.

Material / Texture

The C1 Curve is made of silicone which rates a ten of the material safety scale. It’s completely seamless and very firm. The skin has a slight give to it, but the inside is hard, and doesn’t bend. The material has a bit of drag to it, and requires a good lathering in lube to be completely comfortable. Other than that it has a really great feel to it, and is quite soft and velvety.

There is some light texture going up the back of the toy that curls slightly over the head of it. It’s only raised a little bit, and something I didn’t notice, or feel during use. It’s a nice start into texture if you’re looking for something a little different. To me it looks like a digital effect, or digital flower petals, very pleasing to the eye.

Silicone is non-porous, durable, and easy to clean. It has a tight molecular structure and retains heat, which is great since this is waterproof if you want to soak it in some warm water before use so your toy is nice and warm feeling for you.

This material is also,
Food-grade material / Hypo-allergenic / Latex free / Non-porous / Phthalates free
    • Light texture
    • No odor
    • Not porous at all

Design / Shape / Size

The measurements on Eden read that the toy is 10” long; with a circumference of 4 1/2” Insertable length is 7”. But after measuring it myself I’ve found it’s slightly shorter than the site measurements, but not by too much.

These are the measurements after measuring it myself,
Insertable length is 6 13/16”
Circumference is 4 1/2"
The width is 1 3/8”
Total length is 9 1/4”
Curve length is 1 3/4"

It’s not too girthy, and not too slim. But it is quite long; it has a nice tip that is curved so you can insert it a little bit if you like a shorter toy, or deeper if you like that as well. If you enjoy smaller toys this one may not be right for you, and I wouldn’t consider this to be a beginner toy; more of an intermediate toy in size.

It takes four triple Aaa batteries; after a few weeks hasn’t really diminished in power and I haven’t changed the batteries. Though for me the vibrations have not been that great overall. The battery compartment twists off and on, and stays firmly closed during use. It does also have a rubber O’ ring seal to the battery case to keep out water to make it water-proof. The battery compartments skin is very soft and velvety like there may be a small layer of silicone over it, but I think the inside of it is plastic.

The silicone of the toy has some light texture, which is hardly if at all felt during use but is visually appealing. The color of the silicone is a very vibrant and lovely purple fuchsia color.

I’m glad this toy also came with its own pouch- the only downfall of the pouch is that the inner lining and outer material are not sewn together. So when you pull the vibrator out of the pouch the inner lining comes out inverted because it sticks to the silicone. So to take it out of the bag you’re going to want to pinch the bottom of the bag so it doesn’t come out every time you remove your toy.

Functions / Performance / Controls

This vibrator has 6 different settings; three are straight vibration which inclines in vibration strength as you hit the button (there is only one button). The other three are pulsation modes. The button is a little black pearl that is raised off the toy for easy pushing, nothing like the shallow buttons on the Je Joue Mimi. The placement of the button on the very bottom of the vibe makes it hard to accidently push during use which is a definite plus.

The pulsation modes are,

1) Low vibration
2) Medium vibration
3) High vibration
4) Pattern 1 – Normal pulse ZZ-ZZ-ZZ-ZZ
5) Pattern 2 – Two pulses then a long one zz-zz-ZZZZZ-zz-zz-ZZZZZ
6) Pattern 3 – Rollercoaster shotgun

The overall strength of the C1 is lacking, the vibrations are weak and buzzy. This is a toy that is in my opinion all talk with no oomph behind it. It is pretty loud probably not something someone living in a dorm or close living conditions would feel comfortable using, though it is still nice to use even with the vibrations off. So if you are looking for a toy that acts a bit better as a dildo this could be nice.

The shape is good for reaching the G-spot; it has a great curved tip. It’s nice and firm, the size was just a little too big for me at first, but it really isn’t bad. My only problem with its performance was the vibrations and the fact that I had to keep reapplying lube for it to feel comfortable. It’s just the feel of the silicone that is grabby and does not allow for a smooth ride.

Care and Maintenance

Cleaning this toy is amazingly easy as its material is silicone. It’s a safe non-porous hypo-allergenic material that literally repels dirt and bacteria. For cleaning all that is needed is a rinse in warm water with a gentle anti-bacterial soap. You can also use toy cleaners, sprays and toy wipes on this vibrator- just make sure the cleaner is compatible with silicone.

This toy is also waterproof so while cleaning you can fully submerge, or wash without worry about water damaging your toy. Air dry, or pat dry with a non-linty towel so fibers from the towel don’t stick to your toy, and make sure to store your toy away from other silicone toys as the two like materials can react with each other. That can end up ruining the material of your toy, so no toys touching!

Also since the toy is silicone you should only use water-based lubricants with it. Just like with silicone toys touching and reacting badly with each other, the same thing can happen with silicone lube. So don’t use silicone lubricants with silicone toys, it could render your toy permanently tacky and unusable.
    • Easy to clean

Packaging

The toys packaging is pretty big and bulky to store but that is okay as the C1 comes with its own lovely silky toy pouch. The hard cardboard box it comes in has a purple, white, and black scheme and is pretty simplistic. It is not discrete as in big letters on the front of the package under the name it states ‘G-spot Vibe’. As well as there is a peek-a-boo design so you can see the vibe through a cut out in the front. You might want to just throw it away and store it in the pouch.

On the back of the box they describe the product its materials, and features. On the side there are some simple cleaning instructions, but is mostly described as being sold only as a novelty. So there’s not too much information otherwise on the box.

The pouch is a nice and silky lavender purple and has a draw string. The inside of the pouch is a slightly darker purple color; it’s a cute little bag but is not padded. But that’s not too much of a big deal as the C1 is not a breakable material toy like glass. The toy fits perfectly in the bag, and it definitely helps keep the vibe clean and non-linty as silicone catches almost everything it comes in contact with. On the front of the middle of the bag it does say in medium words ‘Pleasure Technologies’ so it’s not completely discreet, but any pouch is better than no pouch.

Personal comments

Overall a great toy, it was annoying I had to keep re-applying lube, but I liked it anyway. Another disappointing thing was that it was not very powerful, which is a bummer, especially since it states on the product page that it is powerful. It’s also not very quiet at all; if you live with others you may want to wait till they are out of the house to use this, as they may be able to hear it through your door. The fact that it’s noisy is also a big downfall because I wouldn’t feel comfortable using this in the shower even though it’s waterproof. The noise of the shower won’t drown out the vibe.

Something I’d probably use every now and then to switch things up, but definitely not my favorite vibe that I own.

Experience

My experience was overall positive, but a little disappointing. It did not pack the punch or wow factor I would have liked. I wouldn’t mind trying other toys from this company, but we didn’t start off to well this time! The feelings were pleasant and it did reach the g-spot but didn’t stimulate too well or get the right pressure. That and between worrying when to apply more lubricant just made it not very enjoyable. I didn’t end up having a g-spot orgasm or at least not a good one. I had to use and external toy as well to really get off at all. And any time since I’ve used it I’ve had the same results.

Awesome review! This has been on my wishlist since I saw it come in a few weeks ago, but now I just don't know. It looks like it would be a great size and shape for me (I really love softer curved toys), but it's just way too loud... Maybe I can just use it as a dildo hahaha.

The volume certainly would be a deterrent. Thanks for the great review.
