Vivid girl power flex - g-spot vibrator discontinued by Doc Johnson - review by The-IT-Guy-And-My-Secretary

When we received the Vivid Girl Power Flex it arrived in a plastic bubble pack. The toy comes slightly bent in the package showing you how the flexible center shaft is in order to accommodate different places on your body. The front of the insert of the package includes several designs and endorsements by Savanna, the famous adult star. The back of the package once again has endorsements by Savanna and several instructions on where the toy is designed to stimulate. The back of the insert stresses avoiding swollen or inflamed areas or skin lacerations as well as stating that the toy is not waterproof and should not be used while bathing or in the shower. It also includes detailed directions on how to operate and maintain the toy and information on how to register your toy with Doc Johnson for their 90 day warranty.



We ordered the black version of the toy. Once it was taken out of the package the first thing we did was take a look at how flexible the head was. Our goal in purchasing this toy was to use the toy for G-Spot stimulation. Our first concern when ordering the toy was that the head of the toy might be uncomfortable to insert. When we took it out of the package, we both saw that size of the toy would be manageable.



The toy has a total length of 12 inches and has an insertable length of 5 1/4 inches. The head has a circumference of 5 inches and a diameter of 1 5/8 inches. The toy bends in the center between the head and the base unit. It has three speeds: speed one being fairly strong; speed two being very strong; and speed three being extremely strong. It uses three double A sized batteries that you will need to provide yourself as they are not included. The control pad is located on the side of the base of the toy. It is labeled for the three speeds as well as the off position. The three speeds are labeled with a small 1 a slightly larger 2 and a super-sized 3. The speeds are selected through the use of a 4 position sliding switch. The vibrator also has the Doc Johnson logo located on the bottom front of the base. The documentation also states that the toy is NOT waterproof. The toy is made of plastic and because of that it can be cleaned with antibacterial soap and water or a mild Isopropyl alcohol. Because the toy is made of plastic, it is non-porous which gives it a high rating on the material safety scale. Plastic is also a great material especially in this case because it causes it to be nice and smooth against your body. You can also use any type of lube with this toy because the material will not be affected.



There are some definite ups and downs with this toy. The first major issue we have with this toy is, once again, it isn't waterproof. We did see that it wasn't waterproof on the site when we looked but now that we have it in our hands we both agree that it would be SO much more fun if it were waterproof. The toy does get a bit messy when using it internally and after the application of lube. Because the toy is not waterproof, it makes cleaning the toy a bit of a hassle. You really have to wrap something around the part of the toy that isn't waterproof to prevent water from entering the controls and damaging the unit. The toys vibration settings are also one of its weak points in our view because the toy is VERY powerful. We found that even on setting 1 the toy actually hurt the Secretary when using the toy to stimulate her G-Spot. So if setting 1 was too much, 2 and 3 were out of the question. We also found that the toy could be used for clitoral stimulation but once again on the light setting.

The first time we used this toy, our main goal was to stimulate the G-spot, of course. However, the first slight problem we encountered was the large size of the head on the toy. Although insertion was not a problem, maneuvering the head was a problem. We found that even though we could bend the toy to accommodate any position, the toy did not maintain its position and we were constantly fixing and adjusting it, which was purely a distraction. Once inserted, trying to find the secretaries g-spot was like trying to find a needle in a haystack. The head felt bulky, large, and unable to stimulate the g-spot regardless of position.



The second problem we found was the intensity of the vibration. The level of intensity is simply "crazy". We both stared at each other in amazement when we opened the package, put in the batteries, and turned it on; it nearly jumped right out of our hands! In other words, it's too much! In fact, the secretary found the vibration, even on level one, to be extremely uncomfortable for internal stimulation.



The third problem we had with the toy was the appearance. It simply is not a "pretty" toy. It is hard to be turned on when your toy looks like a tool that belongs in a doctor's office or the IT GUY's garage! They had a good concept with this toy, but it lacks the finesse and small details that could have made it a great toy!

Now that we have had some more time to play with our new toy I think we are kind of getting the point of what it really is capable of. Its marketed as a G-Spot vibe but honestly, from what we have found it should go nowhere near a G-Spot. It does however do a great job of external stimulation on my wife's clit as well as behind my testicles and also happens to assist in a great back massage. We do stand by our two star rating because we did get it for G-Spot stimulation and it was a total failure at that. However since we have found other uses for it I can say I think we are starting to like it a bit more. Still not loving it... but liking it just a slight bit more. We still think it looks like a 70's microphone but we have no plans to banish it from the toy box just yet.
