Strawberry pulsabath - massager discontinued by Pipedream - review by Penguin

I really do...the fruit, I hate it. This GIANT strawberry sponge is ok in my book though. It really is large, larger than I expected. I wanted something unique to use with my partner and found this bath accessory. We like to shower and bathe together, but vibrating waterproof toys like bullets etc. don't really interest me for bath time. I thought this would be sexy and fun, not to mention practical. I was right for the most part. This product does work really well, but it is loud outside of the shower, can feel a bit grainy, and takes forever to dry if you are trying to hide it. It does feel good if you have enough soap and we have fun using it though.

This is made of a synthetic sponge which didn't have pits in it like the picture. It is smooth instead. You can really squeeze it like you would expect from a sponge. It retains a lot of water and does take a long time to dry after using because...it is a sponge of course. It was apparently supposed to be scented, like strawberry I would imagine, but it wasn't. It does however retain the smell of whatever you use with it though. The top of the strawberry, the leaf part, is made of a hard plastic and the cord is nylon. All of these materials are porous and should only be shared with a trusted partner since using a condom is impossible and wouldn't make sense for the product.

Like I said earlier, this is much larger than expected. It fills up a box that is 5 1/2" x 5 3/4" x 6". If I could compare it to a household object, I'd say its about the size of a large softball (the soft ones, not the hard ones). It is 19" around which is a bit large to hold if you have small hands but is good for washing. The top unscrews so you can insert two AA batteries. For some reason, if I screwed it back on as tight as it'd go, the vibration wouldn't work. The vibrator is a cylinder in the middle of the sponge but doesn't come out. The vibration gets turned on or off by turning the ring at the top. This is where the nylon cord is attached to. It has a small plastic cap at the end that can be annoying. If you don't put your hand through it, it can whip you in undesirable places. The top does say that it is waterproof and indicates that it turns on, so someone could figure it out if they picked it up. We don't care about it being out though, so it hangs by the cord around the tub faucet.

The top is easy to turn the vibration on. It goes from low to very high and all the levels are noisy. That isn't something you really have to worry about that in a shower. It might be heard if you live in a dorm or something though. The vibrations feel great in a non arousing way and are very relaxing for me. For my partner she said that they could be arousing, but she also enjoyed the sponge for a relaxing massage. It was fun to use on each other and she uses it alone when we are not showering together. it really eats up body wash though. Because it is so large and thick, it needs a lot. I went through a bottle of Axe body wash three times as fast using this. Needless to say, it isn't the best to use every time if you don't want to be buying tons of soap. The lather feels great, but the sponge can feel grainy on the skin if you have some stubble. It feels like it is being pulled lightly. Submerged in water, that goes away. We really had a lot of fun using this on eachother.

Like I said, it takes a long time to dry and if you try to get all the soap out, that takes a long time too. Hopefully, you don't have to hide this because it is easiest to just rinse the best you can and hang it on the faucet. The box is cardboard, so you can't use it unless the sponge is bone dry.
